"There's nothing wrong with her your majesties, just a little water in her lungs we managed to get out"

"When will she wake up?"

"Give her a few, she's tired and needs bed rest for at least two days straight"

"Thank you doctor"

"Of course your majesties. I'll be back in another two hours"

My head is about to burst from all the talking.

"M-Mother?", I try to squint my eyes open.

"Oh, my baby", I hear her cry before grabbing my face in her hands.

"W-Water", I open my eyes and see the roof of my bedroom.

"Get her the water, quick", mother sits next to me, helping me sit up.

My room is filled with maids, all rushing on and about whereas Darce is nowhere to be seen.

Father rushes to us with the water in one hand, towel in another. Mother grabs the water before nearing the rim of the glass to my lips. I grab the glass and drink the whole thing in a minute. She looks taken aback.

"What?" I look at her.

"You nearly drowned yesterday, and here you are all fine", she smiles slightly, shaking her head.

"Do you want me to be not fine?"

"I never really understood why you recover so fast from any injuries" father sits next to mother.

It's true. I once almost broke my leg, healed within a week. I rarely get sick and the longest time I've been on bed rest was... also for a week.

"I just do", I shrug.

"Also, Kat, you might want to look at your wrist", mother says. I look at her before looking at my wrist. A tattoo, three wavy lines, sits next to the lips.

"It was a stint!?"

"Apparently so"

"Now I'm happy that I drowned", I chuckle but my parents look at me weirdly.

"We thought you might want to talk to your soulmate", mother starts, after a minute of awkward silence, "I bet he's really worried"

Theo. Damn, I totally forgot about him. I mean, I was passed out for a day but he doesn't know that!

"Yep, totally, can you leave me alone then?" I give them my best puppy eyes.

"Are you sure you're okay honey?" mother grabs my hands in hers.

"I'm fine, mother", I roll my eyes cheekily.

"Alright then, just ring for us if you need anything, anything at all", father grabs her hand, "Love you"
