004, no face

  Reese lay in her bed, Will was gone. It was unbelievable. The little boy that used to come to her house to ask for eggs was gone. Reese stood up and grabbed her bag. "I'm going to school mom." She said, walking out of the house with her bag and walkman. Queen blasting in her ears.

  "Okay, Ree. I probably won't be here when you're back I have a night shift." She called as Reese stood in the doorframe and nodded before leaving with the car. "Hey, Reese." Jane began. Reese walked back to the door for a second. "Nothing." She then said. Reese looked at her confused and walked to her car.

  When she arrived she saw Steve standing there. Alone? She walked past him quickly and surprisingly, he didn't make a comment he just watched her. What was up with everyone today?

  There was police everywhere around the school, wanting to speak to everyone who was at a party at Steve's house. That was the last place Barbara had been seen.

  Two kids had disappeared, out of nowhere. Something was wrong, and Reese knew it. But what was it? What the hell was wrong with the small town Hawkins? She had to know, she had to find out. Her curiosity took over, she didn't know why. She just had to find out.

  After a few hours the youngest Cooper spent in the city she decided to go home, it was already getting darker anyway.

  Reese got in the car and drove away from her school. From now she had to whole day left to think about what was wrong with everyone today. A moment Reese wasn't paying all her attention to the road she accidentally hit something. Maybe it was a animal? "Shit." reese cursed. She got out the car looking for the animal.

  Maybe it wasn't hurt and took off? Reese turned around ready to get in the car again, but when she turned around she saw a creature standing a few feet from her. It walked away but then turned around again. That moment Reese saw it, the creature had no face. The girl quickly got in the car. The creature walking up to her quickly.

  She grabbed her key her hands shaking. She put the key in the car and turned it, but the car wouldn't start. "Oh no. No, no, no! Not now." She cried and turned it again multiple times. "Come on, come on, come on!" She cried out while she saw the creature getting closer by the second. "For fucks sake, move shit car!" Reese cried out. Not a moment later the motor started working.

  "Yes!" but the creature had already caught up with her. It jumped over the car now standing in front of her car. The thing turned around and opened its mouth. "Holy shit!" She screamed. "I'm gonna die, i'm gonna die, i'm gonna die." She repeated. She looked around the car for anything she could fight it with. "What are you thinking Reese? You think you can kill that thing?" She asked herself.

  Nothing in the car, great. The creature jumped on top of the car and by surprise the roof of the car didn't break, it only bumped in. It's still above you Reese. She knew it was. She was more afraid then she had ever been. Not a moment later a small, white bus drove passed her and the creature quickly ran away. A man that looked like he was going into space ran after it, a few others following him.

  The girl looked at the scene with widen eyes. A group got out of the bus, a man walking towards Reese. He stood in next to her window. He signed for her to roll the window down. Reese just pretend she didn't see him. "Roll the window down, we are prepared to break it open if you don't." The man told her. Reese sighed and slowly rolled the window down a little bit.

  "What did you see?" The man asked. Reese frowned. "Didn't you see it just n—"

  "What did you see?" The man repeated. Reese shook her head. "A, uh, a something?" She said questioning if this was the answer he wanted. The man fake laughed. "Who are you, sweetheart." He dropped the laugh.

  "I'm not telling you my fucking name." She yelled, her breathing getting heavier. The man shook his head resting his hand on top of the window. "Who are you?" He slowly asked again.

  "Someone who is not telling a stranger her name." She sassed back. The man sighed. "How about you get out of the car for a second?" He asked. Reese eyes got widen and her mouth dropped. "I don't—" She said but another man interrupted her.

"Leave her we're not looking for her remember!" He yelled. Reese quickly went to roll the window up again. The man got out of the way and Reese drove off quickly. holy shit.

  When the girl got home she ran inside. Her mom standing before the window. When jane saw her daughter she went to the door quickly. Jane opened the door and pulled her inside. "You do know it's far over the time you have to get home!" The woman yelled.

  "I know, it just... Took me longer to get home." She said. Jane looked at her questioning. "What the hell happend?" Jane asked. Reese knew her mother won't believe her but she gave it a shot anyway. "I saw something, it didn't have a face... But it did have a mouth, or something like a mouth."

  "The exact same joyce said she saw." Jane shook her head. Reese looked up at her mother. "She saw it too?" Reese asked. Jane nodded. "She said it came trough the wall?" The woman said.

  Not a second later a something pushed against the wall. Jane let out a yelp and Reese looked around grabbing the thing closest to her, a mop? She grabbed it quickly holding it towards the wall. "What the hell do you want to do with a mop? Clean that thing?" Jane yelled at her daughter.

  "Do you have a better plan?" Reese yelled back at her mother. "No, but that doesn't mean this is a good plan!" The thing almost was getting trough but Reese punched it with the mop. The creature growling and getting back in. Reese looked around the house and the at her mom. "It worked!" Reese finally cheered. Jane still looking forward in shock.
