005, the funeral

  That night Reese and Jane both fell asleep on the couch. Jane shook her daughter awake in the morning. "Reese! Wake up! Will's funeral is today, remember?" Reese nod and got up from the couch.

  "What we saw yesterday—" Reese began but Jane cut her off. "We'll talk about it later, now get dressed." Jane told her. Reese nodded. She walked to her room and put on the black dress that was thrown down at her bed. Mostly she would complain about wearing dresses but this time, she didn't. She had to be there for will, for Joyce and for Jonathan.

  Jane walked up behind Reese. As the girl combed her hair. "We're leaving in a few minutes make sure you're ready." She said standing in the door frame. Reese nodded but didn't look back at her mom.

  "Fear not, for i am with you." The pastor began. "Be not dismayed, for I am your god. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. It's times like these that our faith is challenged. How, if he is truly benevolent... Could god take from us someone so young so innocent? It would be easy to turn away from god... But we must remember that nothing, not even tragedy, can separate us from his love. We are here today to find comfort in the truth of scripture, and to surround Will and his family..." The pastor continued for a bit.

  After his words it was time to say goodbye to Will. Throwing roses in the grave. Everyone saying goodbye to the Byers family too. And by surprise Reese saw Lonnie standing there, Joyce standing behind him her arms crossed. Jane and Reese both walked over too the family and Lonnie. "If we can do anything to help you guys through this time, just give a call." Jane told Lonnie. "Thank you." The man nodded and the the two Cooper's walked over to Joyce. Jane laying a hand on her shoulder. "Take care." She whispered softly before grabbing her daughters hand and walking inside.

  Reese sat on a table with her mom, she looked around seeing Mike, Lucas and Dustin sitting on a table with mr. Clarke. The girl didn't know Mike and Lucas that well, but she knew Dustin. She babysits him, didn't have to in a while because his mother was home a lot. Dustin was a nice kid, also very smart.

  The three boys didn't look sad like at all. They knew something she didn't, she knew they did jut not what it was. "Ree." Her mother snapped her out of her thoughts. She saw everyone getting up. "We're going home come on." She said pulling her daughter with her. Waving some people goodbye while walking too the car.

  "Mom can we talk about it now?" The girl asked her mother. Jane sighed deeply. "Mom what we saw—"

  "It wasn't real, it was a hallucination." Jane interrupted her daughter while she shook her head in denial. "Mom you saw it you—"

  "I know what i saw, it can't be real." She said. "It's probably just a dream or something." She hummed. Reese turned to her, slamming her hands onto the car seat. "Mom, that can't be true! We both saw—" Reese began but Jane cut her daughter off. "Enough!" She yelled. The rest of the ride home both were quite. When they got home reese went straight to her room. She knew what she saw, she felt it, it had to be real.

this one's kinda short because it's kinda hard to place reese into season one. have a nice day tho :)
