Once again Reese was early out of school and decided to watch Steve loose from the new guy. Again. She sat down on the bench an watched the practice. The new guy, Billy, was a dick, but it was still kinda fun to see Steve loose a game. "All right! All right, all right!" Billy suddenly yelled, still casually bouncing the basketball. "King Steve. King Steve, everyone. I like it. Playing though today." He laughed.

"Jesus! Do you ever stop talking? Come on!" Steve yelled back at him with an annoyed tone. "What? You afraid the coach is gonna bench you now that I'm here? Huh?" He asked Steve. Billy ran towards Steve, knocking him too the ground. And he bounced the basketball in the hoop. This time seeing Steve loose wasn't as fun. After Billy scored the point he went to high-five his team mate and walked over to Steve, who was still laying on the ground.

He offered him a hand, which he accepted. Billy pulled him up a little, muttering something to him, then dropping him to the ground again. Stepping right over him. Steve then painfully stood up. Billy looked over to the bench, winking and smirking at Reese, who gave him a disgusted look before walking off the bench. Steve walked after Billy, looking back at Reese one last time. Reese looked back at Steve, catching his eye, she gave him a small smile before walking out of the room.

..

Steve turned on the shower. Billy standing next to him. "Don't sweat it, Harrington. Today's just not your day, man." Billy said from next to him, now grabbing a towel. "Yeah. not your week." Tommy scoffed. "You and princes break up ff or one day, and she's already running off with the freak's brother." He chuckled. Steve looked at the ground, a bit confused. "Oh, shit. You don't know. Jonathan and the princess skipped yesterday. Still haven't shown." Tommy smiled, leaning onto the shower. "But that must just be a coincidence, right?" He laughs, and then walks away.

"Don't take it too hard, man." Billy said, also leaning onto the shower. "A pretty boy like you has got nothing to worry about." He leaned towards Steve a little. "Plenty of bitches in the sea. Am I right?" He asked, putting the shower off while Steve still had soap in his hair. Billy walked away. "I'll be sure to leave you some. If you're lucky it'll be that Reese bitch." Steve breathed in and out deeply before slamming the shower back on.

..

Reese walked onto the step of her house. She opened the door of her house. "Hey, mom! I'm—" Quick enough her face dropped by the sight of Nate Wilson kissing her mother. "You've got to be shitting me!" She yelled, running out the door. Jane stood up. "Reese, wait!" She sighed. Reese opened the door of her car getting in. "Ree, just give him a chance." Her mother said.

"Never in a million years." She said. "Remember that you are sucking faces with the man who left us, who left you to raise me alone." She hissed at her mother. Nate walked over too Reese and Jane. "You're lucky I didn't turn out to be a junkie." Reese said putting her hands on the wheel. "Oh yeah, like you turned out great now!" Nate yelled at her. Reese felt her eyes watering. "Right." She sniffed and drove off. Leaving Jane with a frown on her face.

..

After about half an hour of crying and driving around town. When she finally got back she saw her mother sitting on the couch. She turned around to see her daughter, still sobbing, in the doorway. She walked over to the girl taking her into her arms. "He's really gone now. I promise." Jane said, softly brushing trough her daughters hair as the slightly taller girl cried into the crook of her neck.

"I'm so sorry I yelled at you." Reese cried. Jane shook her head. "Don't be, I deserved it." She shushed her daughter. After a comfortable silence between the two jane spoke up. "I'm so sorry." She said once again.

..

The two coopers sat on the couch watching ghostbusters. For the first time in a while the two actually had fun. Ghostbusters was their favorite movie, it always had been. When Reese was five she first watched it, and since then it had been her favorite movie of all time.

She remembered when she first showed Dustin the movie. It was in december 1984.

Reese had been babysitting the young Henderson since he was seven, and they immediately bonded. They had the same humor and same taste in movies. The two had grown to be good friends. When Reese babysits Dustin they always watch ghostbusters, which is both of their favorite movie. They also shared, Egon Spengler as their favorite character.

Reese got snapped out of her thoughts by the phone ringing. She saw her mother sleeping on the couch, Reese sighed and got up, walking towards the phone. "Hello, you called the Cooper household. Weirdo one speaking." She spoke into the phone.

"Reese! Hey!" Dustin shouted into the phone. Reese hadn't seen Dustin for a while, since Claudia, Dustin's mom, was a lot home lately. "Hey Spengler, what's up?" She asked the younger boy. Reese had seen babysitting dustin more like hanging out with a friend. But then getting paid for it. "I have so much to tell you! My mom is out of town tomorrow and asked if you could babysit me."

"Yes, I'll be there. How late?" Reese asked the younger boy. "Right after your done with school." He answers into the phone. His voice a little stressed. "Hey, you okay?" Reese asked him. Dustin inhaled deeply before Reese could hear Claudia yell. "Dusty! Have you seen Mews?" She asked him. "I'll tell you it tomorrow! I've got to go, see you tomorrow, bye!" He said quickly before hanging up to phone.
