010, the end of the beginning

  Reese, Nancy and Jonathan all stood ready to fight the monster. But it didn't come in. "What's it doing?" Nancy asked. Reese shrugged. "I don't know." Jonathan frowned. Reese stayed on the yo-yo. "Do you hear anything?" Nancy asked still holding the gun towards the door. Jonathan closed the lighter. "No."

  Jonathan quietly opened the door and walked to the hallway. Nancy, Reese and Steve slowly walking out too. It was gone, maybe it had seen the trap and decided to go away?

  The group walked to the living room. Nothing. They looked around the messed up room. "This is crazy. This is crazy. This is crazy." Steve muttered. "This is crazy! This is crazy! This is crazy!" He ran over to the phone and dialed a number. Reese quickly walked over to him and threw the phone away. "What are you— What are you doing? Are you insane?"

  "It's going to come back!" She yelled at him, Steve looking down at her confused. "So you need to leave. Now!" She told him. Steve didn't even hesitate and ran out of the house. He opened his car looking back at the house one more time. The lights flickering again. It came back.

  The three inside turned around every second. "Where is it?" Nancy asked. Reese walked around in a circle. "Come on. Come on, son of a bitch." Jonathan said taking a position so he was ready to fight. "You see it?" Reese asked pulling the knife out of the mop. "No where—"

  "Come on." Jonathan hissed. "Where are you? Come on!" He yelled. The monster wasn't here, yet. The three looked up at the sight of all the lights turning off. They heard a low growling. Shit. Nancy turned around to see the monster standing there. "Jonathan! Reese!" She yelled and the two turned around. It growled and jumped over to Jonathan pinning him to the floor. He dropped the bat while falling. "Jonathan!" Both girls yelled. "Jonathan!"

  Nancy started shooting. "Go to hell, you son of a bitch!" She yelled and shot again. The monster standing up and nancy kept shooting at it. The monster opened its mouth. Nancy tried to shoot again but she was out of bullets.

  "Die you son of a dick!" Reese cursed and hit the monster with the mop. Not a moment later steve suddenly started attacking the thing too. The monster roars and Steve and Reese backed up the monster coming towards them. Reese let out a scream and hit it with the mop again. "Look out!" steve yelled and Reese quickly ducked away. The monster trying to grab her but missing. It ran towards them but both hit it again. Steve twisted the bat in his hands and hit the monster as did Reese. Finally it fell back into the bear trap.

"He's in the trap!" Jonathan yelled. The plan had worked. "He's stuck!" Reese yelled happily. It worked. She almost couldn't believe it actually worked. "Jonathan, now!" Nancy yelled. Jonathan grabbed the lighter and dropped it on the floor. The monster screeched as the flames reached his head. Jonathan ran to the kitchen again. "Get back!" He said and ran into the wall. He then used the fire extinguisher to stop it. There was a lot of smoke so they couldn't see a thing. Everything was dark. Everyone started couching from the smoke. The lights turned on again and the smoke slowly fainted. Everyone still couching.

  Reese's eyes went wide again. "Where— where the hell did it go?" She asked the three others. "No. it has to be dead." Jonathan breathed out. "It has to be." He repeated. The only thing that was left from it was a bit of monster-meat.

  All the christmas light turned on slowly after each other. Steve stood in front of everyone still in a fight position and they slowly walked to the other room. Steve slowly dropped his bat and Reese also did so leaning onto it. "Mom." Jonathan breathed out. "Is that you?" He asked. "Mom." Jonathan then walked outside, the group following him. "Where's it going?" Nancy asked Jonathan who was looking at his front yard light. "I don't think that's the monster."

  It had been a few hours. Much had happened in that few hours, Will has been found and Eleven has disappeared. Everyone sat in the waiting room of the hospital, waiting for will to wake up. Lucas and Dustin both had fell asleep. Mike on the other hand still was awake.

  Jonathan walked into the room and Mike shot up. Jonathan nodded. Will was awake. "Guys. Guys, he's up. Will is up. Guys, Will's up." Mike said and shook his friends awake. He ran out of the door. "Guys, come on." He said and Dustin and Lucas ran out of the door too.

  Everyone then slowly started leaving the hospital.

  It had been one month already. It's like the time just took a skip. Reese had become friends with Nancy and Steve. They turned out to be pretty nice. It was christmas, which the Coopers celebrated at their grandparents. It was a long drive too their house and they mostly stayed there for one or two weeks. They had a nice house, it wasn't big but it was comfortable.

  Jane and Reese finally arrived at the house. Reese quickly got out of the car and knocked in the door. Her grandmother finally opened the door. And giving her a warm hug. "Come in quickly, it's freezing outside." She said now also taking her own daughter in her arms. They sat down on the table. "You know you're gonna have to tell me everything about your year. How was it?" Her grandmother asked while smiling.

  "It was an interesting year." Reese said turning her head to her mother. Jane nodded. "It sure was."

AUTHORS NOTE:

this was season one. i can't believe i actually finished writing a season. i'm very exited for season 2, there are gonna be a lot more steve and reese moments. and i have much more planned.
