It was Thursday which meant that I was already past halfway through the school week. The weekends were always great for me as my older sister usually came to spend the weekend away from uni- that is if she didn't have lectures. My older brother moved out about two years ago, leaving me the only one in the house- besides my parents- as of last year.
But of course, my weekend didn't look like it was going to go as planned. Dan had been texting me non-stop about a party, saying that I needed to let loose a little and not be such a goody two-shoes. I knew that if I didn't say yes, he would keep bothering me about it, so I reluctantly said yes. I still had today and most of tomorrow before that though. I shouldn't worry about it until then. I just can't help, but think that something bad will happen though. Probably just nerves because I've never been to a party.
--
The school day was pretty much the same except Dan and all his arrogance came to sit around in Mrs. Maron's class for his free period. Mrs. Maron wasn't in the classroom the entire time, but instead in the teacher's lounge. She trusted me in her classroom, but I was surprised that she would actually leave Dan in her classroom.
"Dan Howell, I really don't want to deal with you today." I said, putting my stuff down. Phil was already in one of the chairs, not paying very much attention to Dan and I. Dan got closer to me, making me back away until I hit the wall. I cursed under my breath. I knew exactly what he was doing. He was smirking, just like always. He put his hands on the wall on either side of my face. "So, Aliah.." I sighed, "Are you really going to mess with me today?" He nodded. I heard Phil mutter 'what the-' which made me think that he finally noticed what was going on. I pushed Dan away before he could get any closer.
"Don't touch me, Howell. I will kill you." He laughed, "I'm sure you would and you won't be pushing me away at the party tomorrow night." My eyes widened, "Dan!" He laughed. Phil was looking back and forth between us, confusion planted across his face.
"Are you guys friends now? Because you sure act like it." Phil asked. "What, are you jealous?" Dan mocked. Phil glared, "I don't know you people." I let out a laugh. "Love you, Phil." I said, making him stick out his tongue.
--
"Okay, is this the button? No.." I groaned in frustration. We were trying to watch a movie and we couldn't get the TV to work. "Well, I don't know!" Exclaimed Mrs. Maron. "Try the next button," Phil said, sighing. I pressed the button and screeched as the table I was standing on fell under me. I sighed as my head hit the floor. Laughter filled the room. "Are you okay?" Dan asked, holding out his hand for me to take. I took it and he pulled me up. "Yeah, I'm good," I said. I then realized how close Dan and I were. I joined in laughing to try to make things less awkward. I looked at the television, "Well, I got it to work!"
--
I got home and saw my sister there early. We stood in the kitchen as she had offered to make dinner. "Hey, you want to go to the movies Friday night?" She asked, smiling wide. I shook my head, "Can't. Dan is forcing me to go to a party." She raised an eyebrow, "Dan as in Dan Howell?"
"No, Dan as in the Queen of England. Yes, Dan Howell." I said, sarcastically. "I didn't think you two were friends." She said, pulling a pan out of the cupboard. "We're not, though he likes to think that we are." She laughed. "Speaking of which, he could possibly come over. Unless he's hooking up with some random girl, that is."
--
Dan... Now, I'm curious. Why are you hiding so much from me?
It doesn't matter.
Yeah, it does.
He didn't answer me which wasn't a real surprise.
--
Nothing really happened that night as Dan didn't answer after that and completely ignored everything. Phil told me that he woke up late and to walk to school without him, so that I did. I walked into the school only to get pushed up against the wall as soon as my foot hit the tiled floor. I let out a sharp breath, the force pushing on me unexpectedly. My eyes shot forward and I was met with black locks and green eyes.
"Listen here. I want you to stay away from Dan." Imogen spat out. My eyes widened and my mouth dropped open, "You really think I am going after Dan? I could care less about him. I'm tutoring him... You know, so he can get smarter? So he can learn something? Unlike you because you can't learn anything, no matter how much you try." Oh, I knew it was a bad move, but I didn't care. Her grip on me released and I fell to the floor, only to be kicked in the side by her. "You little twat." She growled in my face.
--
I laughed as Phil jumped from desk to desk, almost falling many times. I asked him random questions to distract him, plus I wanted to learn more about him.
"Middle name?" I yelled. "Michael!" He replied, jumping from another desk. "When was your last relationship?" I questioned loudly. "A year ago!" He shouted, jumping once more.
"Are you a virgin?" I asked, catching him off guard and making him screech as he fell to the floor. He laughed as he lied on the floor, staring at the ceiling.
"You didn't answer the question." I told him, laughing. The bell rang and I quickly jumped up from the rolling desk chair that I was sat in, pushing it forcefully towards the table it was meant to be at. Phil scrambled to his feet, rushing to his desk before the crowd got in the class. I saw Dan walk in, but he didn't do his usual wink and smirk at me. I raised my eyebrows at him before shrugging it off because it honestly didn't matter to me that much.
It really didn't..

So, am I picking you up for the party tonight?
You do know that you are literally across the room from me, right?
Did you want Phil to feel left out because he wasn't invited?
Aw, you care.
No, but I thought you did.
I do.
Well, I did this for you then.
Okay, so yes or no?Yes.
Okay, can't wait.

So, tonight- instead of enjoying some time with my sister- I had to go to some stupid party that I doubted would even be fun. I grabbed my phone and checked the time. One hour until Dan was supposed to pick me up. I sighed, grabbing my curling iron. I wasn't going to try hard, so I only messily curled the ends. I found one of the few dresses that I owned. I ended up wearing a black dress with white flats. I put a bit of mascara and eyeliner on before my phone dinged with a notification.
Get your ass out here.
I laughed and grabbed my phone, putting it in the bag that I was taking. I shouted a goodbye to my parents and sister as I walked down the stairs. I swung the front door open and stepped out. I instantly saw Dan's car and I smiled weakly. I went over and got in. "Impressive." Dan said and began to back the car out of the driveway.
**Idek how long this is because I'm on my phone, but I felt like updating so here ya go.
Btw, when she fell off the table, I got that idea from when a friend was trying to do something to the TV in the classroom and she started walking up the table. We could see the table falling as she continued to walk up it. It was hilarious and she'll never live that down.
Thanks for reading, lovelies!
Love ya!
