I looked up at the large house as we approached closer to the open door. I could hear the music blaring with a constant rhythm of thump, thump, thump. Some guys greeted Dan and he said some 'hi's back. As I walked into the house, I was met with multi-colored strobe lights, dimly keeping the room lit. The sudden smell of alcohol hit me, making me scrunch up my nose in disgust. I saw a few people dancing- more like grinding against each other. Well, my hopes of this being fun seemed to disappear. Someone called Dan over, leaving me to myself. I sighed and walked over to the stairs where I lent against the wall in front of them.

Hours of incessant amounts of alcohol later and everyone was drunk out of their minds, except for me. I hadn't taken even a tiny drop of alcohol, leaving me to be pretty much the only person sober. I wasn't very surprised when a guy came over to me, slurring drunken thoughts. One of his hands rested upon the wall beside me while the other moved onto my hip. I tried pushing him off of me, but the more I tried to get him away from me, the more he pushed his body against me. "Get off of me," I tried to tell him, but to no surprise, it made things worse. His hand started to go up my shirt when I felt his body being pulled away from me. He was then slammed onto the wall next to me. My eyes moved to meet the source of the person whom had gotten the guy off of me and I didn't expect to see Dan holding the guy an inch or so off of the ground, only by the fabric of his shirt. "You stay away from her, got it?" He growled out, balling his free hand into a fist. The guy remained emotionless, besides the glare he was sending Dan. Dan raised his balled up fist, silently threatening to punch the one that was pinned against the wall. It was then that the guy nodded and Dan released him, making him fall to the floor. "I think it's time that we go," Dan said and I agreed, so he led the way out where I got into his car without saying a word. Only after Dan had started driving and we had turned into a completely different street had he decided to say anything. "You okay?" He spoke up, making me look over and nod as a response."No, you're not." He said which was right, but I didn't want to admit it to him so I continued to watch the scenery that we passed. "I shouldn't have forced you to come to the party," I heard Dan say, but I still ignored him. We continued to be silent for the remainder of the ride. Dan pulled up in front of my house and I unbuckled my seat belt. I was about to open my door when Dan spoke up. "Hey, I'm sorry." He apologized and I smiled weakly. He took his chance and lent closer, pushing his lips against mine. I gave in a small bit, only to realize what was going on and pull away hurriedly. I opened the door of the car and stepped out. I didn't stay anything else to him.

I woke up the next morning with a few texts from Dan, mostly just staying sorry for last night, but I didn't care. I knew that with that, I would most likely have to tell Mrs. Maron that I can't tutor him anymore because it would be too awkward. It's not like a have a problem with that. All he wanted was to get with me. He got one step closer. Just proves my point that he's a player. One second, he was apologizing for making me come to the party and the next second, he was kissing me. I shouldn't have expected any less from Daniel James Howell.

"How was the party?" My sister asked causing me to roll my eyes. "Great," I replied sarcastically. "What happened?" She asked as she continued to look at the laptop on the desk. She was doing some weekend homework for one of her uni classes. "Well, I almost got raped until Dan pulled the guy off of me." I started telling her. She turned her head, glancing at me for a second. "At least he helped." She said and I inwardly groaned. "You didn't let me finish. He brought me home, apologized, then kissed me." I explained making her hiss out of shock and disgust. "Yeah, that's no good." She said, writing something down on the notebook beside her laptop. "Yeah, and I woke up to a bunch of texts from him." I told her, but got no response from her for about a minute as she was writing things in her notebook. "Text him back. You two need to talk about what happened." She advised; however, I was too awkward to know how to continue a conversation with him, knowing about what happened last night. I would just leave it alone until I knew exactly what to do.

Phil came over and he met my sister, but we didn't talk to her much as I pushed him upstairs to my room before she could embarrass me any. "In a rush to get me away from her?" Phil questioned with a large smile and a laugh. He had this adorable habit where whenever he laughed, his tongue would poke out at the side of his mouth between his teeth as the giggly sound escaped his mouth. "Yes," was all I had to say before we were grabbing at the video game controllers and starting games against each other at many various games that I owned. We continued to play throughout the rest of the day, which was a while considering he came over at about 1 pm. He definitely took my mind off of everything else that had went on recently.
