Joe's POV:

A full week has passed of me sleeping on the hard sofa bed that started to give me back pain. The stay here is not as comfortable as what I'm used to, but Taylor's been so kind to me so it's bearable.

Surprisingly, we both got along with each other faster than I thought. I usually don't get on that well with new people or feel comfortable around them since I'm a very introverted person, but something about Taylor is just warm and comfy.

We've been enjoying our time together watching movies, talking about our interests and cats since she's too obsessed with them, even though she's never gotten to have one. We've only been talking about random stuff, and didn't open up about anything personal.

And now since it's January, I can finally start looking for a job, hopefully I'll find one soon. On a less positive note, I've realized that my January examination period starts in a couple of days, which means that I've missed the full autumn semester and therefore my entire 3rd year in college.

I didn't get to join this new year's semesters that started last October, cause my dad decided not to pay my fees after what happened. So now I've lost the degree I've been working hard to get for the last 2 years, It's very frustrating for me.

"Now that I'll start looking for a job, what exactly should I do to get one?" I ask Taylor.

"Maybe you can try asking about any stores that needs employees, or just do what you normally do to find a job" she answers.

"But I've never tried doing that...."

"Never tried doing what?" she asks being confused.

"I've never tried looking for a job."

"What? I didn't get to ask you this before, but how old are you?" she asks.

"20"

"A year younger than me then. So you're 20 years old and you've never worked before?" Taylor asks in amazement.

"No, I did work once before. Last November I worked as a sales assistant in a shoes store, till the owner decided to kick me out! But my friend Ed was the one who found the job for me."

"And why did he kick you out?"

"I don't know, he was such a jerk! I wasn't sad that he kicked me out anyway, the job was so stressful for me. I used to work 6 fucking hours a day, it was unbearable!" I sigh.

Taylor's POV:

Jesus Christ 6 hours of work a day, are you kidding me? Guess I'm going straight to heaven for working for 12 hours on a daily basis since I was 13. Those rich people are so...

"Well then, I'll try to help you find a job" I say.

"You really will?" he asks in excitement, then he gets off the sofa and sits next to me on the bed looking straight right into my eyes and soul,

"Have I told you before that I love you?"

WAIT HE WHAT? My heart is racing!

"As my best friend for sure" he chuckles. This asshole really thinks this's funny, I nearly had a heart attack hearing those words!

I remain silent for like a minute blushing and staring at him like he was an unknown creature to mankind, "Wow I got to be your best friend after a single week, nice!"

"My best friends whom I have known since I was a child didn't stand by me as much as you did. So yeah, time means nothing, It's the heart of gold that you have" he says pointing to my heart still looking into my eyes. Can he keep his long damn fingers away from me? I can't take it anymore!
