I rushed Taylor to the nearest hospital and she was taken to the emergency room. I've been waiting impatiently for her to come out for half an hour now.

Seeing her lying on the ground in pain like that was so terrifying to me, I can still hear her cry in my ears. Yet I don't understand what happened to her all of a sudden, she was absolutely fine when I left her and went to the town this morning. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

10 minutes later, the doctor comes out of the emergency room and I run towards her immediately,

"Is Taylor ok?" I ask with a shaky voice.

"Yes she's fine, no need to worry. She had food poisoning cause of eating something out of date as what her tests show. Her symptoms were severe but it's not that much of a big deal. We gave her some antibiotics and now she's doing much better." I sigh in relief after hearing the doctor's explanation.

"We also sent a blood sample to our lab just to confirm the diagnosis and make sure that she doesn't have any viruses" she continues.

"Thank you so much! So can I see her now?" I ask.

"We moved her to another room and she's currently sleeping. But you can still see her if you want."

I thank the doctor again and run towards Taylor's room to check on her. When I enter the room I find her sleeping peacefully, she looks so innocently beautiful with a bare face, without any hair or makeup done. I try not to wake her up so I go and sit quietly on the chair next to her bed. I put my hand on her forehead and keep staring at her face for few minutes. Till I realize something I didn't have in mind...

SHIT I'D HAVE TO PAY FOR TAYLOR'S MEDICAL FEES. But how am I gonna pay if I don't have any money? I'm still as jobless and broke as I was when I first moved into Taylor's flat. Where am I gonna get money from? Obviously I'm not gonna wait for the sick Taylor to wake up and pay for herself! I leave Taylor sleeping in the room and head to the hospital receptionist to know how much the fees cost.

The lady tells me that emergency services are free of charge, but I'd have to pay for the blood test and the hospital room. So clearly I need to figure out a way to get money as soon as possible. Taylor's been taking care of me for almost a month now as if I was her long lost brother, I'm not giving up on her in this situation. And while thinking about what to do, my eyes unintentionally lay on my watch, the one that Taylor refused to take as a guarantee before.

In fact, Gigi was the one who gifted me this watch on my 18th birthday, and I haven't taken it off since then, that's why I didn't want to sell it earlier. But at this moment, I guess I've no other option, I need to do this for Taylor. I give the charge nurse my phone number and ask her to call me if Taylor woke up, cause I don't wanna her to wake up and not find me next to her. I take one last look at Taylor then head to the watch collector boutique in town to sell my watch.

I sell my white gold Patek Philippe watch for £8,500. And weirdly I'm not feeling that bad that I sold it, I thought I'd be way more annoyed to lose this watch but all I can think of right now is Taylor.

I manage to make it to the hospital the moment Taylor starts waking up. When she opens her eyes, she finds me standing right in front of her. I flash a smile at her as I see her electric blue eyes trying to identify the place she woke up in, she isn't fully conscious yet.

"Hope you're feeling better now Tee!" Taylor looks over at me once she hears my voice.

It takes her about 13 minutes to be fully conscious again, then she starts wondering about what happened. I explain the whole thing to her and make sure to reassure her that she's fine and healthy.
