"Ms Slaydier.. Glad you could join us this morning."
Lifting her eyes from the granite below her, Jedha scoffed as she was greeted by the chrome suited soldier who gave her the stitches. Phasma.
"Thank you Captain." Jedha nodded, smoothing her suit under her palms. The uniform consisted of three pieces, the actual suit, a leather jumpsuit along with a black cape similar to Phasma's that hung across her shoulder and cowl.
"I assume you settled into your new room nicely?" Phasma asked. Her stature was similar to Ren's, tall and brooding as she stared down at the girl.
"Yes Captain." Jedha answered shortly. She wasn't trying to make this conversation longer than it had to be and she especially didn't want another blaster to the face.
Phasma nodded, "Excellent."
Entering through the doors, Jedha followed closely behind her, hoping to hide herself behind Phasma's size.
The room was filled with men, soldiers standing shoulder to shoulder along the wall as the rest of the commanders and captains spoke amongst themselves at the table.
Phasma glanced at the girl, nodding her head to follow closely as the two made their way around the table. Taking a seat near the end between Hux and another general, Phasma turned to the girl, "You're fine behind me."
Her words reassured her, giving her some unseen hope out of all of this. Jedha nodded positioning herself behind Phasma's chair, hands clasped behind her.
"Glad to see our new recruitment has no ill will towards you Captain." Hux grinned.
"Glad to see Ren hasn't ripped you to shreds yet General." Phasma snapped.
Jedha's lips folded in as she bite down trying to not smirk.
"Do you have any theory as to what this meeting is about?" Phasma asked, glancing towards the general.
"No but I can say that I would much rather be in my quarters dreaming my sorrows away, fantasizing about frolicking along the shores of Naboo-"
Instantly, everyone grew silent as the doors screeched open, as Ren sauntered in. His shoulders pressed back as he propped his hands on the table in front of him, glaring down the table.
"Goodmorning." He simply stated.
"Good morning supreme leader." The room spoke. Jedha remained quiet, her hair creating a brunette curtain in front of her face.
It felt as if the air had changed, like the life had been sucked out of it, leaving them to suffer in the deafening silence.
"I supposed everyone has been accounted for General Hux?" His words slipped out of his mask harshly.
"Yes sir although we were expected to start five minutes ago-"
"I'm aware General."
Ren's footsteps crashed against the floor as he made his way down the table opposite from her.
Her chest stiffened as she attempted to quiet squeaking coming from her uniform. She watched as Ren slowly lowered himself into his chair, spreading his knees and leaning into the back of his seat.
She couldn't help but noticed how big, physically, he tried to make himself appear. Whether it was a scare tactic or just an illusive thought, it was working.
"Any updates from Sec. 2 sergeant?" Ren's voice boomed.
Her gaze shifted to the end of the table as the man stood from his seat, "No sir. Servers are still being tampered with but estimated to be done around 2300 today."
