"Where is Slaydier."
His voice boomed through the village, a silver coin pinched in between his fingers.
"Oh my god." Jedha managed as she clamped her hands down on her mouth.
Dain peered behind him to Jedha, eyes wide and terrified. "Jedha... what's going on." He whispered.
"I-I don't know." She lied. She knew exactly what was going on.
Her eyes remained on Ren as troopers began to search the crowd. Jedha felt her stomach drop and her hands start to shake.
Don't be a coward.
The words echoed through her head as her body seemed to work on its own. Slowly standing from behind Mai, she stepped into the light, blaster still in hand.
"Jedha, what are you doing." Mai pleaded as her voice became worried.
Eyes turned to her as troopers approached her, guns raised. Her eyes were on Ren's, his helmet shielding his face but she knew he was looking.
Raising her blaster, Jedha's finger twitched around the trigger. "Leave." She shouted.
Ren took a few steps closer as he tilted his head slightly. Troopers shuffling closer to the girl, their guns still raised.
They're not listening.
"Lower your weapons." Ren spoke through his mask stepping even closer. The troopers obliged, lowering their guns to their sides but Jedha had not.
"Slaydier."
His voice seemed to entrance her sending chills down her spine as he spoke her name. "I've heard a lot about you."
"Oh have you. That's ironic coming from a child killer." Jedha spat.
Ren paused glancing down to the coin he held in his hand. "Care to explain this."
"No. Leave."
Her words dripped with anger as her grip only tightened on the blaster, her finger resting on the trigger.
She couldn't see but she sensed the smirk Ren had underneath his mask. It fueled her anger even more.
"And if we don't?" He asked, provoking her.
Jedha grinned as she stood tall lowering her weapon as she slowly stalked towards the nearest trooper.
Eyes still on Ren, Jedha raised her blaster and fired a round into the troopers helmet sending him to the ground.
"Care to continue?"
She watched as he let out a scoff turning to his troopers motioning to stand off. "I only want to chat."
Jedha chuckled shifting her weight on her feet. "And I only want you to leave, or is it gonna take another one of your tools to get you to."
Her eyes fixed on Ren as a trooper made his way towards her. Glancing to the trooper, Jedha dropped the blaster as she reached to her waist band pulling out her saber and igniting it.
As the red blades shot out of the ends of the saber, with a swing the trooper was on the ground within seconds.
Villagers and troopers stumbled back, Dain and Mai both watching from a far.
"Are you gonna keep it up or what." Jedha breathed, her chest falling and rising slowly.
"Leave." She hissed.
He paused yet again, staring at the girl and her saber she clutched in her right hand, the red beams inches from her.
Stepping forward, Ren stopped as he glanced to the girl, lurking closer to her. "Do you know why I'm here." His mechanical voice spoke through the mask.
