Preference: You Call Another Member’s Name Out During Sex. (Part 2.)
Luke: You woke up the next morning with the bed empty, which didn’t surprise you. You knew you’d screwed up and you didn’t blame Luke for not wanting to be with you anymore if he didn’t. How could you have called out someone else’s name during sex? Especially one of his band mates! Your cheeks heated up as you recalled the incident, and you couldn’t help but to let out a little whimper as you stood up out of bed, throwing on a t-shirt and sweats whilst making your way downstairs. Luke sat on the couch, his phone pulled out as he typed a text message faster that you’d ever seen before. You wanted to speak to him, but you weren’t sure what to say; so you just held your breath and made your way into the kitchen to grab yourself a glass of orange juice. In the middle of pouring the cup, Luke entered the kitchen and stood against the door frame, his arms crossed tightly against his chest. “(Y/N).” he says your name as if it were a secret. You turned around and looked at him with the most apologetic eyes you could muster. “Yeah?” you answer, but Luke stays silent for a bit more. You didn’t blame him, because you probably wouldn’t take it too well if he ever called out another girl’s name during sex. “Have you ever… slept with Michael?” he asks suddenly. Your eyes widen and your heart speeds up in pace as you think of an answer. You never had slept with Michael, no, but before you met Luke; you did date Michael and you had done some things together; how were you to tell Luke that? With a deep breath, you put your orange juice glass on the counter and turn towards him fully, making eye contact in the process. “Okay, here’s the story; but it’s one you won’t like.” you say, and instantly his eyes roll as he pulls out a kitchen chair and sits down, copying your actions. “Michael and I dated a long time ago, way before you were even asked to be in the picture. We didn’t have sex, no, but we did fool around a little bit, and I guess that’s why I called his name out.” you say. Luke says nothing, but his jaw is flexed and his eyebrows are scrunched together. You knew he was angry, and you really didn’t blame him in the least. But, it was in the past and you accidentally slipped up; could he really hold a grudge against you for it? “I’m very upset with you right now, (Y/N),” Luke says slowly, “but I love you and I wouldn’t break up with you for anything. Just… for the next little bit give me some space, okay?” he says softly, and you nod with a sad smile against your lips. “I’m so sorry, Luke.” you tell him, but all he offers you is a nod. “I’m sorry, too.” he says as he exits the kitchen.
Ashton: “Oh, shit, did she really? Dude, that’s low; especially for her because she doesn’t seem like the type to slip up, especially not like that!” you can hear Luke’s voice bellowing from downstairs pulling you out of your slumber, and you knew that Ashton had described to him the situation. Now you felt even more embarrassed, because Luke had been like your little brother in the band and you didn’t want him to think any less of you or to make fun of you in any way, and you just knew that he would if you stepped downstairs while he was here. “Well, I’ve gotta go, Ash. Mum’s wanting to go out tonight before we leave off in a few days, so I’ll see ya mate.” he says loudly, and you wonder if it’s because he wants to wake you up or because he knows you’re already awake and he wants you to come downstairs to Ashton to talk things out; either way, you were glad that he’d announced his exit because as soon as the front door slammed shut, you were shoving on a hoodie and jeans to make your way downstairs to your boyfriend who sat slumped over in the living room. His head was held in his hands and you knew he hadn’t been able to stop thinking about last night… neither could you, if you wanted to be honest about it. “Ashton?” you call out, and his head instantly snaps up. “Oh, so now you can remember my name?” he asks with a bitter tone, and your heart instantly pangs with guilt. How could he be so crude about it? Of course, you knew he had a reason to be, since you’d just humiliated him and he was probably more pissed off at you than you could imagine. “It’s not like that and you know it.” you defended yourself as you sat on the end of the couch opposite from him. He laughs sarcastically and tilts his head towards you, and you can’t help but shiver from the ice in his glare. “So, what’s it like then, (Y/N)? Have you been sleeping with Calum behind my back and you accidentally mixed up our names?” Ashton asks. You scoff and cross your arms over your chest, anger rising up to cover up the guilt you’d previously felt. “No, but if you want, I can give ol’ Cal a call and we’ll be hooking up later tonight!” you shout. He instantly grows silent and you know that you’ve struck a nerve you probably shouldn’t have. He looks down and bites his lip, toying with his fingers for a moment before he looks up at you with a hurt expression. “Would you really do that to me, (Y/N)?” Ashton asks with a soft voice. You shake your head instantly and scoot closer to him, wanting so badly to just cuddle him in your arms and apologize a million times for everything between the two of you to be better. “No, and I’d never mean to call Calum’s name out purposely, Ash. I just got caught up in the moment last night, and you know that he was my favorite before we met.” you say, and he chuckles lightly as he continues to hold you. “Yeah, I know that. But,” Ashton takes a deep breath, “don’t call his name out again, okay? Makes me feel like I don’t do a good job, and we both know that’s not the case.” he winks, causing you to blush.
Calum: You cleaned yourself up and the kitchen counter, going through the house after Calum (making a stop by your bedroom to get some clothes on) to try and calm him down. You knew when he was mad that you shouldn’t talk to him until he calmed down, but since you’d messed up this bad and it was your entire fault that he was mad, you felt obliged to go and talk to him to see if you could fix what you’d brought to the ground in a matter of point 5 seconds. You tilted your head to the side once you caught him standing in the bathroom mirror, pulling at his hair and touching his cheeks and lips, looking as if he was picking out every flaw he had - which, there weren’t many that you could see - and it broke your heart that you were the reasoning behind it all. “What’re you doing, Calum?” you ask, stepping a bit closer to him. He laughs and shrugs his tanned shoulders, looking down at the sink beneath him as his fingers gripped the porcelain under him, his knuckles turning white from the grip he held on it. “I’m just trying to find a resemblance.” he says simply. You raise your eyebrows, not sure what he was meaning. “A resemblance with what?” you ask, suddenly feeling stupid as he turns towards you with a roll of his eyes. You knew what he was talking about, and you felt so guilty and wrong for even standing here talking to him about it now. “Do I look like Luke to you? What’s the resemblance here, (Y/N)? I mean, I’m more tan than he is. I’m shorter than he is, I don’t have my lip pierced anymore,” he scoffs and shakes his head, the frustration glowing through. “What the hell is it that made you call his name out instead of mine? Can you please explain this to me, like seriously? I’m so fucking confused.” Calum rants out, and it takes you a moment to catch yourself staring as you remember what had got you to call out Luke’s name. It was actually pretty embarrassing, and you knew as soon as you told him that he’d laugh and make fun of you, but anything was better than him being mad at you and wanting to hurt Luke for something that wasn’t even his fault. You let out a breath and gently grab onto his arms, pulling him closer to you as his hands instantly grip at your hips. “See, one of your fans had sent me a link to this post on tumblr,” you bit your lip as Calum raised his eyebrows, “and it turned out to be a dirty fanfiction… about Luke.” you end your explanation, and Calum’s lips are instantly in a smirk and he’s laughing hysterically. “I knew it wasn’t my fault! Wow, (Y/N), now I know your dirty secrets when I’m not home, huh?” He asks, completely forgetting about the situation before. You sigh and shake your head. He’d never let you live this down.
Michael: “You’re where? With who? Oh, okay. Yeah, that’s fine. I’ll, uh, see you in a few minutes then.” you sigh into the phone as you hang up, sitting alone in the living room in a pair of sweatpants and Michael’s t-shirt, feeling sad and alone. He’d left the room last night in such a hurry, you didn’t have enough time to catch him before he got out of the house and into his car, driving off like a madman. It was twelve in the afternoon the next day, and he was just now calling you to let you know that he’d been gone all night with Ashton and Calum. He told both of them the situation, and you were surprised to hear that he didn’t kill Ashton and Ashton didn’t even make a big deal out of you calling his name out. He just simply shrugged his shoulders and said, “It’s happened with a lot of girls,” as a joke. But you still felt like a dog over it. You hadn’t meant to call his name out, and you certainly hadn’t meant to do it while you were dating Michael; but it happened and you were here by yourself to face the consequences. The front door of your home opened and your eyes widened as you saw Michael walk inside with bags from Starbucks in hand. He walked over and handed you a drink as he sat beside you, opening up a bagel for his own. “Mikey?” you ask him, and he looks up at you with raised eyebrows. “Yeah?” he asks before taking a bite of his bagel. “Are you still mad at me?” you ask, and he shrugs his shoulders. He wasn’t as mad as he was before, he had to admit that; but he was still confused and upset as to how you called his mate’s name instead of his. “I’m not as mad as I was, but I wish I knew what caused you to say Ashton instead of Michael.” he explains with his mouth full. You chuckle at your silly boyfriend and scoot closer to him, wiping some crumbs from the corner of his lips. “If I tell you, promise not to be mad?” you ask, and he nods as he holds his pinky up to hook it with yours as a promise. “Okay, well… Ashton was my first time ever, and since you’re in the same band as his… I just got a little excited and mixed up.” you explain, and he nods his head slowly in an understanding tone. He smirks to himself and looks at you. “I’m not mad. At least now I know I’ll have to be extra good to be better than Ashton.” Michael smirks, and you gulp in both anticipation and excitement. This might not’ve been such a bad thing as you thought.
