Christens pov
Tobin and Alex have talk out there problems. They are I'm guessing as close as they were before. Sometimes I feel like they are too close. They are very touchy. I also feel like I only see Tobin at practice or in our room.
At dinner it was me, Pinoe, Ash, Ali, Allie, Alex, and Tobin. Tobin was sitting next to me not as close as usual. Maybe this is it maybe we were just not meant to be. I'm glad that Alex and Tobin are friends again but I miss my girlfriend.
When we get back to the room I sit on the bed that hasn't been used yet. I get up grab some clothes and say nothing to Tobin. My mind was racing. What am I doing am I just being crazy. She just been so distant lately. I feel like I'm losing her. I hear a knock on the bathroom door. I realized now that I am crying. "Chris is everything okay"
"Yep" is all I said afraid she would here me crying in my voice. The door opens crap I forgot to lock it.
"Are you sure because you've been quiet all night" she is really close to the shower curtain now. "Chris if something is happening you know you can talk to me." My breath hitched. It was becoming difficult to breathe trying to hold back my tears. "Are you crying." She said pulling back the curtain.
"It's fine I'm fine Tobin I'm just gonna finish washing my hair okay" I gave her a kiss then pulled the curtain back. Crap I didn't want her to see me like that. I heard the door closed and I did exactly what I said. I put my clothes on and stared at my self for a good minute. I'm probably just overthinking. I walk out of the bathroom and she was waiting for me on our bed. She instantly pulled me into a hug.
"I'm sorry Chris" I'm very confused on why she is telling me sorry.
"For what Tobin"
"I haven't really been here lately I was trying to fix things with Alex but distancing myself in the process"
"Tobin I" she didn't let me finish.
"I am really sorry Chris" I pulled her into me with my hands on her cheeks.
"Tobin it's okay I was just a little scared I'm happy that you and Alex are getting along it just scared me a little"
"What scares you" she looked deeply into my eyes with love and curiosity.
"I'm scared that I've gotten really attached to you and I'm scared that you'll leave me. Tobin you make me vulnerable nobody has really ever made me feel the way you do"
"Oh Christen I'm not going anywhere you have nothing to be afraid of because I'm in love with you"
My eyes went wide did I hear that right did she just say she's in love with me. "Crap maybe I shouldn't have said that" I pulled her into a kiss a very passionate kiss. I was so happy in this moment and I was crying again but this time they were happy tears. When the kiss broke I placed my forehead against hers.
"I'm in love with you too Tobin"
"Oh thank god" she said letting out a breath. She really is my bestfriend. My phone starts ringing breaking our moment. It's my dad calling.
"Hey dad"
"Hey kiddo um I think you need to come home your mom is sick she's in the hospital I'm here with her now."
"Omg Uh I have to tell my coach but I'll be there as soon as I can okay"
"Okay Uh the doctor just walked in I love you"
"I love you too dad." He ended the call and I was in shock. "I have to go home" I started packing my bags.
"What happened chris"
"Uh my mom she sick she in the hospital I gotta get home damn it where are my shoes."
"I'll call Jill I'm going with you"
"What"
"Christen you can drive like this you can't even find your shoes which are right here." She hands them to me. "I'm going with you okay I just want you to be safe"
"Okay okay Uh just call Jill." Tobin stepped out of the room with her phone. A few minutes later she came back. I just booked the flights they leave in two hours giving us just enough time to get to the airport.
"Okay you ready"
"Yeah Uh let's god"
At the hospital
We walk into the waiting room Tobin is holding my hand. "Hi my name is Christen press I'm here to see Stacy press would you mind telling me what room she's in."
"Yes it's family only so your friend can't go with"
"She is family she's my partner" the lady gave us a weird look.
"Room2324" we made our way to the room. When we got there I stood in the door way my dad was asleep next to my mom. She was hooked up to a bunch of machines. I squeezed Tobins hand a little tighter and walked in. I walked over to my dad and rubbed his back hoping it would wake him up. He looks up at me and smiles.
"Chris oh you made it" he got up and hugged me I let go of Tobins hand. Then as soon as the hug ended I grabbed Tobins hand again. I think my dad finally noticed her. "Oh hi"
"Uh dad This the girl I told you about"
"It's nice to meet you mr. press" she held her free hand out for him to shake.
"It's nice to meet you too Tobin. I just wish it was on better circumstances"
"So what happened dad"
"Uh she had a stroke and now she's in coma we're hoping she wakes up. Your sisters were here early and I told them to go home and get some rest."
"Well you should too you look like you haven't slept"
"I haven't but I can't leave her."
"But you guys should go get some rest and maybe bring me some fresh clothes tomorrow visitors time is almost over but I'm staying here"
"Okay but try and get some sleep dad" I gave him another hug and he gave me his car keys with the house key. Me and Tobin made our way to the parking lot. "Thanks for coming with Tobin you really did have to"
"Yes I did I'm your girlfriend and I love you of course I'm gonna be here. Chris I'll always be here for you through thick and thin." She really is amazing that right there is one of the many reasons I love her. "Now let get home and get some sleep so we can come back bright and early."
We walked into the doors of my childhood home. We found Tyler and Channing on the couches. Tyler woke up as soon as Tobin closed the door. "Dad" she said.
"No it me Christen" as soon as I said my name Channing woke up. They both got up and pulled me into a group hug.
"When did you get in and who is that"
"Oh uh Tyler Channing this is my girlfriend Tobin" I said pulling her over too us. Tobin just smiled at them.
"It's nice to meet you guys."
"Nice to meet you too. So how was dad when you left the hospital"
"Uh he was just sitting with mom probably how you guys left him."
"Okay so we are all going to go at nine tomorrow because that's when visiting starts"
"I'll grab dad some clothes but I think we should all get some sleep."
"I agree Uh goodnight guy."
"Goodnight" we all say at the same time. Me and Tobin make our way up to my room. It like walking into a time capsule.
"Wow so this is what teenage Christen was like it's nothing like your room at your apartment much cleaner" she say joking with me.
"Haha what ever let's just get some sleep" she pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead a couple of times.
"Chris relax a little she's fine for now that good she will be there in the morning and you can't tell me your relaxed because your whole body is tense." I walk over to the bed and lay down she follows me wrapping her arms around me. My head laying on her chest I finally do relax and fall asleep.
