Christmas with my family was great. They all really like Christen. Which makes me very happy. Soon it's gonna be christens birthday me and Kelly decided we are going to be throwing her a surprise party. We invited the whole national team and some of her friends from her Utah team. We also invited her siblings and dad they fly in two days on her birthday. I have an even bigger surprise that Allie has been helping me with.
Chris walks in the room and I casually close the tab I was on. "So what do you want to do for your birthday"
"I don't know we can just a movie or something"
"How about I take you to diner"
"Okay I'd like that"
"I'll make us some reservations" I say before leaving the room. I go to Kelly's room. "Okay she thinks me and her are going out for dinner which we are so I'll text your when we're on our way back. You can still pick up Cody, Tyler, and Channing right."
"Yep don't worry tobs this is gonna work out fine"
"I hope so I just want it to be special it's her first birthday with out her mom"
"It will be special Tobin" I left Kelly and found my way to the living room where Christen was laying on the couch watching tv. So I just joined her. She welcomed me with open arms. We just payed there for hours till we finally went to bed.

Christens pov
I wake up to the sight of Tobin carrying a tray of breakfast. She set it down on my lap and gave me a kiss. Then climbed into the bed next to me. "Good morning beautiful"
"Good morning Toby"
"Happy birthday my love" I pulled her in for a quick kiss. "No eat up we got a long day ahead of us"
I just smiled and started eating the breakfast she made me.
She told me to go get dressed in something nice because she's taking me to dinner. So I put on one of my favorite dresses. It was red and very tight. When I walked out she was waiting on the couch for me. "You ready babe?"
"Yep" when she turned around her eyes lit up. "Wow Chris you look amazing" she said making her way over to me. She just grabs me hand and we make our way to the car. The restaurant was kinda fancy. I definitely picked the right thing to wear. Tobin was looking kinda hot in what she had on. She had some black pants with a white dress shirt and a black jacket kinda like a suit.
When we finished eating she drove us straight home. There were a lot of cars on our drive up. Someone must be having a party. She walked me up the stairs and had big smile on her face. "I love you Chris"
"I love you too tobs" she opened the door and let me walk in first it was very dark which was strange. Then the lights flipped on and everyone yelled surprise. "Omg so this is what you two have been so secretive about" Tobin shook her head then I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Happy birthday sweetie" my smile went even wider when I saw my dad and sisters. I instantly pulled all of them into a hug. All my friends were her and my family. I was so happy in this moment.
The party was going great. Allie decided she need to make a toast so she was tapping her glass to get everyone's attention. "Hello everyone I just wanted to make a toast to the birthday girl. Chris you are amazing human being I'm so grateful that Kelly invited you out that night. You have made my bestfriend a better and happier person. I'm so proud to call you my friend and my teammate now if you would turn around there is a surprise for you." When I turned around I saw Tobin on one knee and a box in her hand.
"Christen Annemarie Press I never thought that someone like you would come into my life. But you did and you have completely changed it, you have completely changed me made me a better person. I'm so happy Kelly invited me out that night and I got to see you again and got to take the chance I didn't take when we were in college. You are the light of my life and I'm hoping that you will say yes and I can spend the rest of my life loving you unconditionally" I was now crying and so was she. I nodded my head yes. "Yes?"
"Yes Tobin I will marry you" she jumped up and pulled me into a hug spinning me around. She put the ring on my finger and kissed me. The kiss was filled with so much passion and love. I'm so in love with this girl. We partied the rest of the night my dad and sisters went back to the hotel soon after the proposal. Now everyone was just dancing around and drinking.
The last person left I went to check on Kelly her, Allie, and sonnet were passed out all cuddled up in her bed. I took a quick picture and went to find Tobin. She was in our room getting ready for bed. She meant stripping down to her bra and boxers. I joined her in bed after I changed in to just an over sized t-shirt and underwear. She opened up her arms so I could cuddle into her she kissed my head a couple times. "Goodnight my love"
"Goodnight Toby" I leaned up and kissed her on the lips and soon fell asleep.
I woke up before Tobin and decided to I was gonna surprise her. I move slowly trying not to wake her. I head to the bakery right by our apartment. "Hi can I get two coffees and two muffins" I asked the lady at the counter she nodded yes and walked away. She handed me the coffee and the muffins, I handed her the money. I made my way back to the apartment where Tobin was still fast asleep. I made my way over to her setting the coffee and muffins on the nightstand. I kissed her on the lips. It took her a minute but she soon kissed back and was smiling into the kiss. "Good morning baby"
"Good morning Toby" I handed her the coffee and the muffin. She just smiled at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you" we ate our muffins and drank our coffee in a comfortable silence.
