Christens pov
It's been a month since everything happened. Today me and Kelly are flying Connecticut for a camp. I'm not sure if I'm ready to see Tobin but I am doing better. I'm still trying to understand that night. Our plan lands and I get a little nervous. "Hey it's gonna be okay maybe if we're lucky we will get our own rooms."
"Kelly I don't want you to worry about me my focus is on soccer not anything else" we get off the plane and into the van. It was just me, Kelly, Ash, and Ali. When we get to the hotel the whole team is in the lobby. Allie spots me and starts walking towards me. She pulls me into a hug.
"She okay but isn't the same" is all she whispered into my ear before she went and hugged Kelly. Her words just repeat in my head. She's okay but isn't the same. I didn't understand till I finally saw her her eyes looked dark. They did sparkle like they use to. We made eye contact and she just looked surprised and I saw a little bit of that sparkle. We didn't break eye contact till we heard jills voice.
"Alright are you guys ready for your room assignments. Tobin and Christen, Allie long and Kelly, ash and Alex, ali and Sydney....." she went on. Crap how does this keep happening. I got my room key from Jill but didn't go to my room yet I found Kelly and pulled her into a bathroom.
"Hey Chris what are you doing"
"What is up with the universe"
"What are you mad because it keeps putting you and Tobin together don't you think there's a reason for that Chris"
"Kelly she kissed another girl"
"But she didn't Chris the girl kissed her and the girl was Shirley Tobins ex just trying to pull Tobin back into the miserable life she had before she met you. Chris she was not doing so well before you came into her life. Your the best thing to happen to her and she knows that we sent her back to the apartment that night and you wouldn't even hear her out. I tried to tell you but you told me you ended it and then just left. Honestly your a different person too. And I know you have noticed that she has a dark look in her eyes the one she had when she was with Shirley. She could have gone back but she didn't she pushed Shirley away and went to find you right away. Chris she loves you she really does and it broke her when you ended it so why don't you just give in to the universe and go be with your soulmate because that's what you and Tobin are. Your soulmate last and everyone sees it." After that she just left me there in shock. Damn when did Kelly get so wise, but she right I should just listen to the universe.
I got to the room and when I opened the door I saw there was only one bed. Wow the universe is trying real hard isn't it. "I called Jill I thought it was a mistake but they ran out of double rooms"
"Tobin it's fine"
"Well I'm gonna go don't to dinner I'll see you there" she tried to walk past me but I grabbed her hand. It felt so right when I touched her hand.
"Can we talk after dinner"
"Uh sure" she pulled her hand away and left. I really did hurt her. I put my bag down and headed to dinner. The whole team was there. I found a seat next to Kelly.
"So did you guys kiss and make up"
"No but we're gonna talk after dinner also there's only on bed in our room"
"Hey another sign from the universe"
"What are we talking about" Ali asked.
"Just how Tobin and Christen are soulmates"
"Omg yes they totally are" ash said.
"But I thought you guys were already together" Ali asked.
"They were but uh Shirley kissed Tobin a bar and Christen walked out. Then when Tobin tried to explain that she pushed away a proceeded to tell Shirley how in love with Christen she it. Christen ended things leaving both of them a mess and heart broken."
"Wow that's juicy" said syd.
"Yeah well I'm gonna fix my mistakes tonight it's been a month to long with out her"
"This happened a month ago no wonder Tobin has been acting so cold toward like everyone. The thorns have been very worried about her." This just broke my heart I can't believe I was so stupid I really need to fix this. I fished eating and went straight to my room where Tobin was just waiting for me on the bed.
"So what did you need to talk to me about"
"Tobin I'm sorry" she just looked at me a little shocked. "Im sorry for not listening to you I'm sorry for just giving up and pushing you away. I love you so much Tobin. It just hurt to see someone else kiss you"
"Chris I'm the one that should be apologizing. It broke me to see you so hurt and to think I did that to you I could barely live with myself. Honestly I've been a mess you don't know how many times I wanted to hop on a plane and come fight for you but your voice just kept telling me not to. If I'm being honest I would text Kelly just to see if you were okay because if I knew I didn't completely destroy that amazing soul of yours I knew that everything would be okay" she grabs both of my hands. "I came to your apartment to tell you that Shirley was a dark part of my past that I never want to visit again. You are the only one that I want. Your the only one to every make me feel the way I do when I'm with you. I'm so in love with you Christen. The next day I was gonna take you out to dinner to ask if you wanted to live together because I don't mind going back and forth if it means I get to be with you."
"Tobin I would love to live with you this past month has been so lonely without you honestly all I've been doing is working out and training."
"I can tell Chris you look amazing" she said with a look of hunger. I know I could resist her and longer so I grabbed her waist and pulled into me. Our lips connected and I know this is cheesy but I felt sparks. It got heated fast we're soon removing clothing and making our way back over to the bed. Let just say it had been a month too long and we need to catch up a little.
