Chapter 12

My surprise must have changed me back into myself, because Steve gasped at the moment. He held his diamond sword close to him.
"It's you."He said.
"I should've known. I should've known! A filthy enderman disguising himself as a girl to spy on us. But why?"He snapped, tightening his grip on the sword.
"What?! You got it all wrong! I'm NOT an enderman."I say.
"There's no use in hiding anything! I saw you as an enderman! And I will kill you!"He shouted.
I transformed into an enderman and teleported to the top of one of the highest trees so it could be hard for him to get me, then changed into my form.
"I can explain!"I say, and fell to my knees and sobbed."It's not my fault. It's not my fault,each person I know turning against me because of this ability."
"Ability of shapeshifting?" He said, obviously feeling bad for me.
I nodded.
"What do you mean by each person you know turning against you because of this ability? I thought you were newly spawned and that Alex is your first friend!"
"It's part of my secret, and I'm not willing to reveal more of it."I say, wiping my tears with the back of my hand and jumping off the tree. I kept aware of Steve."And don't tell Alex."
"Okay."He said."Let's go back to the apartment, I came here to tell you that you were taking too long outside and that Alex and I were planning for us to do something together. I have a map to guide us. That's how I found you in the first place."
I looked at him and gave him a smile. "Nope!" I said."I've got teleportation!" I changed into an enderman,teleported to an abandoned alleyway in the city, and changed into myself. Then, I walked to the apartment building which was very close. Then I paused at the entrance. Alex will ask me why I got here quicker than him. Way quicker than him. I would wait for him, then we would go inside the apartment. Together.. The thought made me shiver. I couldn't face him after what happened. I waited, a mouse or two scurrying across the road, dozens of people passing by, 7 horses, and that was boring. It was a terribly long time.
Steve came walking, panting and sweating.
"You could've walked with me!"He said.
"That would be exhausting. I'd rather teleport. But I can teleport you next time." I say.
"Let's just go into the apartment." Said Steve impatiently.

"You're here!"Said Alex.
"So what is this thing we are going to do together? Fishing, mining, hunting, farming, or what else?"
"It ain't any of these."Said Steve."We're going to build something. We didn't exactly plan out what that thing is, but my supplies and Alex's combined together form a surprising amount of stone and wooden planks. Plus we can get a bunch of stacks in about a half hour if we're out."
"How about, we build a trade place?"I suggested.
Steve frowned just a little bit."Hmm. Not a bad idea."
Alex jumped."It's a great idea! How about we build it next to my house outside the city whe we go there after tomorrow?"
"...Alex..Don't you think.....it's a bit too far?"I asked, remembering how long it took last time.
"Not if we make our horses run!"Steve said.
I looked down at my feet and said:"Poor horses."
Steve looked at me, I knew what he was thinking. He wanted me to teleport them.
He kept looking at me as he said,"How about_" I gave him a sharp glare and he shut his mouth.
"How about what?"Asked Alex.
Steve paused."Uhhhhh. How about_..Nevermind,I forgot what I was going to say."He lied. He then gave me back a glare.
"What's up with you two?"She said."It's obvious you're both trying to hide something."
"Nothing."We both said at the same time.
