The iron bars were pulled backwards, and I was free.

"You're free to go, since you don't have these powers anymore, and it would be useless to study a 'normal' human. But, we will still hold you prisoner for murdering Eric and the rest."

"No." I launched myself at her, making her topple backwards.

"GUARDS!" She screamed.

The guards that burst through the doors were in black uniforms instead of armor. I think they knew her plans. They were probably not wearing armor because I won't be much of a threat without my powers.

"Mrs.Alicia. What is it?" Said one of them.

"Take her to the cell RIGHT AWAY!"

They dragged me off her, pulling me towards the door. They dragged me down the hallway and threw me into my cell.

Alex and Steve stared at me with worried eyes.

"What?" I glared at them.

"You-you look different." Steve stammered.

I stared into one of the shiny thick bars of the cell. He was right.

In my reflection, the violet streak in my hair was gone, and what was most noticeable was... my eyes. The purple color was drained from my eyes. They were dulled to a dark shade of brown.

That must be how I was supposed to look if I wasn't spawned with the ability of shapeshifting.

"What happened?" Alex asked.

"I got into trouble with that woman who came in, Alicia. She dragged me over and told me something about a legend about shapeshifters or something. She said the people that study that legend and searches for them are called The Shudiens or something like that.
She forcibly made me lie on this bed or something and attached me to it. And made it so I wouldn't have enough space to shapeshift. She took a blood extract of mine and then she said she would also drain my powers. And she did." I explained.

"Then we'll get them back." Said Steve. "Forcefully. I never thought this would work, It would probably stir up more trouble, but I'm taking the risk."

He rushed to the cell door, and put his hand through the bars. He pinched one of the guards very hardly. The guard winced.

The guard threw the door open and pointed his sword at Steve. He closed it behind him, leaving the other guard frustrated, since this one had the key.

"What do you think you're doing?" Yelled the guard.

"This!"

Steve kicked the guard in the face, sending the guard staggering backwards.

"Whoop! Cell guard overreacts over a pinch." Said Steve.

Alex got up and faced the guard on the other side. Steve kicked the guard again in the face, while Alex grabbed the sword. It worked.

She tossed it to me.

"You have it." Said Alex.

I held it in my hand, then walked to the guard. "Give me your armor, and I won't hurt you. I won't hurt your 'friend' either, as long as he isn't a threat."

"No, Loyalty to The Shudiens comes first, self defense comes second." He spat.

I pointed the sword at his chest. "How about now?"

"NEVER!" Yelled the guard.

"I guess." Said Alex. "That we have to resort to violence. But first, persuasion. Look, we need this armor, if we have it, we can also protect you, be on your side. You won't lost a thing. But you gain, help us."

"YA KNOW WHAT I LOSE? MY LOYALTY TO THE SHUDIENS!" He kicked me off, making the sword fly off. He grabbed it and held it to my throat.

"You know what's keeping you alive? Alicia's orders. Otherwise, you would be DEAD." He spat. He then walked out the door, and locked it.

For a moment, I felt cold and shivered.

"Cecilia, your powers are back!" Exclaimed Alex.

I let my hair fall over my shoulders, and I saw the purple streak was back. Which meant the same applied to my eyes.

Still, there were guards at the door. It won't hurt to try, would it?

I tried to shapeshift, but instead of becoming an enderman, a shrank to the size of a palm.

"Cecilia, you're an endermite!" Exclaimed Steve.
