Remus: Hell yea

Rose: bye moonage daydream

Remus: Bye darling

"Fuck." Remus muttered.
"Ah ah ah." Sirius tutted, "why the foul language?"
"Piss off Black." Remus sighed.
"No can do, mi amigo."
"First of all, we are not amigos. Second of all, I don't know how I can make it more clear that you're the bane of my existence. Third of all, why are you so desperate on talking to me?"
"Because I don't think you loathe my existence at all." Sirius trotted off, throwing a wink at the other Gryffindor on his way out.
This kind of banter wasn't odd for the two Gryffindors. Throughout the first month at Hogwarts the two were constantly at each others throats. Realizing that they were quite different and butted heads on everything. Remus preferred everything to be organized, while Sirius was much more...relaxed...about where his objects were.
Some days, the only thing that calmed Remus down was talking to the elusive Rose, whoever they may be. Throughout the month Rose kept their promise to send mail, while not hand-written, during the first two weeks Remus received no less than 10 letters. They had grown quite close. This always caused issues with the two Gryffindors. The following argument occurred the morning of September 23rd.
"Who's your girlfriend mate?" Sirius asked leaning towards where the girls and Remus sat.
       "Shut it Black."
"Nah, I just want to know what's going on in the pretty boy of Gryffindor's life...is that a crime?"
"It is when it's coming from you. Besides I think that you'll find that who I am and who I am not dating, shockingly, isn't any of your buisness, that is unless you wish it were yourself."
        "As if!"
Remus chuckled, "You would be Cher wouldn't you? Pretty boy who comes from money? Treats the school likes he owns it? Seems arrogant to everyone around them, but in reality is scared of what everyone thinks of them? Probably because a parent told you, you were never good enough no matter how hard you tried at something. Preferably your mother, while your father was much more relaxed on how you were raised. So arrogant but actually extremely self-conscious, parent issues to a whole nother level, and rules the school with a blind eye to all the issues that are actually happening? Am I right?" Lily looked at him with her mouth agape.
        "Fuck you, Lupin."
Remus laughed, "You wish." Sirius stood up and walked out of the hall.
"Go apologize right now!" Lily demanded, swatting his arm.
"And why should I do that Lily? He's been a prick the entire time I've been here!"
"Two negatives don't make a positive Remus." Lily scolded.
"Except for when you're multiplying or dividing them." Remus replied with a smirk.
"You know what I mean Re." Remus knew she was right, he needed to apologize, and he might've taken things too far by bringing his parents into it, so Remus exits the Great Hall and heads to their dormitory.  He hears the distant beat of 'Eight Line Poem' playing. Taking that as a clear sign that Sirius is in their dormitory, he carefully walked up the steps.
        "Sirius?"
"What do you want Lupin?" He asked harshly.
"I wanted to apologize, I understand that I took things to far, and I want you to know that it was never actually my intention to hurt you."
"That's rich. 'Never my intention to hurt you'," Sirius scoffed, "You hex me every other day!"
"I meant emotionally dumb ass. I...sorry. Look...I am actually sorry about how I've been treating you, I'm gonna be honest, I don't even know why...I'm just sorry and I'll try to not hex you every other day. Just please keep your stuff on your side of the room please."
"I'll try."
"Thank you. I'll be more concious about picking fights and hexing you."
"I appreciate it."

That night Remus sat in his bed, and picked up his phone to type a message to Rose.
