Big Red's POV

Kourtney and I decided to go see the others about Miss Jenn. Kourtney had texted Ashlyn and Nini, who agreed we should get the others and talk to Miss Jenn. I drove with Kourtney, us first picking up Ashlyn, Gina, and EJ. They were all at Ashlyn's house.

"I can't tell if us wanting to stay this close to our teacher is a cute or weird relationship."

"We all know theatre student and teacher bonds are way different than other classes." Kourtney shrugged as we walked to Ashlyn's porch. I knocked on the door. A while passed before Gina opened the door.

"Hey." Gina smiled at us, EJ showing up behind her in the doorway. "They're here Ash!" She called up the stairs.

"Hey." I said. Her and Kourtney almost immediately struck up a conversation. "Well, uh, hi EJ." I smiled slightly.

EJ and I were friends, but without Ashlyn or someone else there everything was suddenly awkward. Honestly, I was scared to talk to him in case something happened where he suddenly hated me because I was dating his cousin. If he did, I would probably tell Ashlyn because I hate not telling her practically everything, then I would see how she reacted, and I was nervous it would not be well.

"Hi." He smiled at me.

Silence.

"Biggie!" Ashlyn ran over kissed my cheek, excited.

"Hey Lyn." I kissed her cheek in return. "Ready?"

"Yeah, let's go." She nodded, gesturing for Kourtney, Gina, and EJ to follow as we walked to my car. I opened the passenger seat door, though Ashlyn ended up sitting in the back to give someone else the seat anyways. We all piled in, EJ ending up the passengers seat, of course. Also, all the girls started talking the second we started driving.

"So, um... nice weather we're having?" I suck at making conversation.

"I guess so?" EJ laughed. "Why are we being so awkward right now?"

"Um, Ash." I sighed.

"I still don't really get it."

"Well, I mean, since we got more serious we— er, I've guess I've been kinda nervous you'll get overprotective of her or something, cause, I mean, if anyone hurt her I'd be upset and mad, and I don't know, don't siblings and family or whatever get really upset or mad? And of course I don't ever want to hurt her, I love her, but, um... yeah." I rambled nervously.

"No. Ashlyn trusts you, I trust you. She's been taking care of me for years." He laughed. I realized no one else was talking.

"You could've told me." Ashlyn said softly.

"I didn't feel the need to, or I would have." I told her.

"Okay." She smiled slightly. "And EJ, we just take care of each other in different ways. You had to babysit me for about 3 years whenever my parents were out of town, which frankly, was a lot."

"Okay, yes, but the point is he doesn't need to worry about that."

"Yeah. Plus that's a spot I don't think I'd really trust EJ on. No offense." Ashlyn said.

"Some taken, but ignored."

"Thank you Ash." I smiled shyly.

Gina's POV

"You two have to stop being so adorable." I whispered to Ashlyn.

"Just because you're jealous you don't have it with a special someone doesn't mean we have to stop." She whispered back, pointing at EJ.
