Miss Jenn's POV
I opened the front door to my house, which was technically my mom's house. I was still working for an apartment, which has recently seemed like it would take quite some time.
"Is it alright we're here?" Ashlyn asked. 'We' happened to be 9 kids.
"Of course, come on in." I invited them inside, confused but unbothered. "How are all of you?" I sat down. "You can sit." Some couples ended up crammed onto each others' laps, not much space for 10 people.
"We're good." Seb answered for all of them, some of them nodding.
"So... why are you here?"
"That's a really good question." EJ laughed lightly. "Who can actually explain?" Most everyone's eyes went to Ashlyn.
"Um, we were just kinda missing you over the summer and with the whole... not being there in the fall thing."
"That's sweet." I smiled.
"So we were also kinda thinking, totally randomly, we wanted to throw together a musical this summer, super low quality, just for fun. And since we would all be busy with the fall musical in fall we were wondering if you'd want to join us, for fun." Ashlyn said, rambling occasionally.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea!" I exclaimed, making most of them smile, specifically Ashlyn who had seemed nervous as she suggested the idea. It sounded like a fun idea, though.
Mr. Mazzara's POV
Jennifer and I were going on a date for the first time. When I showed up at her house, there were three cars, all of which I recognized. I could not figure out whose cars two were, besides Jennifer's.
When I got out of my car, I noticed tons of people walking out of the house. I realized it was the kids from East High's drama club. I tried to be casual, but as I walked over to the porch someone had to ask me why I was there. What could you really expect though?
"Whatcha doing here?" Seb asked, trying to be friendly.
"I'm just here to help with, uh, something."
"Sounds cool." Gina grabbed Seb's hand and walked away with him, the others following. Thank goodness for her, regardless of if she realized something could be going on between Jennifer and I.
"So if they're here a lot this will be weird?" I wondered, going up to her.
"Yeah, they might be here sometimes."
"Cool... why?" I asked.
"Tell you later?"
"Okay." I nodded. "So... ready?" I had not been on a date in awhile, already tended to be stiff around people, and really wanted this to go well, which all added up to one thing: I had no idea what to do.
"Yes." She beamed.
Somehow the date managed to go well, including Jennifer filling me in on the plan the drama club had made and she had accepted.
Seb's POV
Carlos and I went to Miss Jenn's house the following day. She had invited Carlos over, and because Miss Jenn both wanted help and is basically the biggest shipper of every couple at East High, invited me too.
"So do you think Miss Jenn will accept that friendship will help this time? Since it's just us?" I asked Carlos, walking out of the car.
"Aw, Sebby... it's Miss Jenn. I have no idea." Carlos replied, kissing my cheek.
"She gets freaked out easily." I frowned. "But we aren't competing so... surely?" I asked hopefully.
"We'll see." He said, glancing at me as he knocked on Miss Jenn's door. "Today's just for figuring out whatever musical we're gonna do."
"Yep!" I smiled.
"Boys, come on in!" Miss Jenn invited us inside. We settled down across from Miss Jenn. "I've been thinking about which musicals we could do, but every time I think about one I think of another."
"Hamilton?" I suggested.
"None of us can really rap and there's a lot of parts." Carlos pointed out.
"Oh, yeah." I nodded.
"You're all so talented, I'm sure you could figure out basically any musical." Miss Jenn started.
"Thank you." I smiled.
"Thanks."
"Actually, that gives me an idea." Miss Jenn grinned.
