"It's like we never happened
was it just a lie
If what we had was real
how could you be fine"- bea -
We were both swinging on the swings at the park we'd been going to since we were 6.
We were talking about everything and anything, swinging and occasionally holding hands.
Not in a couple way.
Nope.
People always mistook us for a couple. We walked around hand in hand, hugging randomly, I basically lived at Cole's, and literally all I wore were his beanies and sweaters. (goals af am i right)
Despite all this, we were nothing more than best friends.
After a while, he changed the subject, talking about our friendship.
"So, Boo, just while we're here, I want you to know that you're my best friend in the entire world ever and I wouldn't dream of anyone else randomly coming round to my house at 2 a.m. just because she's lonely in her own bed."
I looked to the ground and giggled. I did do that a lot.
"We've known each other forever, and I love you."
I quickly looked up and in to his eyes.
"As a friend! Obviously! Of course I meant as a friend!" He quickly stuttered out.
I felt oddly disappointed.
I mean, I always had a feeling Cole might like me, and we basically act like a couple any way.
I guess I just hoped that one day things would change between us.
I didn't get why I was feeling like this, though.
Cole was my best friend!
I really truly didn't have feelings for him.
Did I?
I decided to forget about my undecided feelings and get back to my afternoon with Cole, my best friend, the nothing more.
Nothing more.
