As I silently grasped the bear's fur, I imagined what I would do if I drove home and found her lying on my bed, giggling at something on her phone like she used to.

I would hold her in my arms and spin her round and round till we both fell back on the bed.

I would kiss her all over, her forehead, her nose, both cheeks, and finally her lips.

I would cherish every single second I spent with her, and not let even a single moment slip away.

I hoped and I prayed that all of this was just some stupid dream and I would wake up with Bea cuddled in to my side, but this is real life.
