Chapter 11: Because I Love Her.

In the forest Silver was sitting next to a campfire he had built trying to keep warm. He was so sad.

He sighed. "How am I ever going to get back home in time to save Starlight?" He asked. Just then he heard some rustling in the words.

He got up and began to shake. "W-who's there?" He asked fearfully.

Then Mikey and Pinkie jumped out and both shouted "BOO!" at the same time. Silver jumped back and screamed slightly.

Mikey and Pinkie both started laughing. "Aww, yeah! Dr. Prankinstein and the future Mrs. Prankinstein strike again." Mikey laughed.

Silver got a bit angry. "You guys, you scared the..." He started to say until he was cut off by Sonic's voice.

"Silver, we're so glad that we found you, man!" Sonic shouted joyfully.

Everyone else was relieved as well. "Come on let's go back to New York now and save Starlight." Sunset said and they all started to leave, but they notice Silver had not moved and was looking at the ground.

"Silver, why aren't you coming, don't you want to save Starlight?" Timber asked.

Silver felt tears coming and started to cry. "No I don't I can't stand up to Sunburst he's too powerful! I couldn't save Starlight back at the docks, like I could with Blaze when we tried to stop the Iblis." He said and fell down to the ground and continued to cry.

Sonic went up to him and sat down next to him. "Hey it's not your fault what happened to Blaze." He said.

Silver looked at Sonic "Yes it is! I loved Blaze, but I didn't confess to her before she died, that's the real reason I was sad when we first got to New York, not allergies! I thought that I could find love again with Starlight, but it was taken from me again by a monster!" Silver said and continued to cry.

Sonic got a stern look on his face. "Silver, let me ask you a question. Do you love Starlight?" He asked.

Silver looked at him "Yes." He said quietly.

Sonic then asked it again "Do you love Starlight?" A bit louder this time.

Silver spoke up this time "Yes." He said a little louder.

Then Sonic got up on his feet. "DO YOU LOVE STARLIGHT!?" Sonic asked, shouting very loud.

Silver got up "YES!" He shouted and began to fly away back to New York putting the fire out in the process.

Sonic smiled, "Good." He said he and his friends got back on the ship and began to fly back as well.

Silver used his T-phone to get the directions back to New York as he flew over the sea.

"I'm going to save Starlight from Sunburst because....because....BECAUSE I LOVE HER!" He shouted with a determined look on his face as he flew over the ocean following the directions on his phone.

Silver: Because I love her, I need her

Like Earth needs the Sun

I need the one I love

To keep my hope bright

My head right

My heart fighting on

Until I am back in her arms

Because I love her, I need her

Like summer needs rain

To grow and sustain each day

I hear her singing

And bringing strength to my soul

Until I am back in her arms

Miles apart, yet still my heart can hear her melody

I'm more than sure I can't endure

Without her love for me

Because I love her and need her

Like I need to breathe

Did Adam need Eve like this

Now I see clearly

I nearly gave up all I had

So whatever our differences were

I'll bid them goodbye

I'll give love a try

And all because I love her.

"Starlight, my love, you'll be safe soon." He thought as he flew closer to New York.
