The air was crisp and familiar against Obanai's skin, the evening breeze wafting through his semi-long raven hair. His back laid against a Sakura tree, an endless road of thoughts occupying his mind. More specifically, Obanai couldn't stop thinking about the Water Pillar.

   Giyuu Tomioka.

It irked him. No, it made him incredibly furious. He would always remind Giyuu how deep his hatred ran for him, pointing out the male's insecurities. However, his words didn't seem to strike a nerve. The Water Pillar would simply turn his back and walk away without batting an eye.

It stung, it really did. He wanted his attention. He wanted Giyuu to fight back. So why wouldn't he?

"There I go.. thinking way too much." Obanai whispered, looking off to the side where Gyomei and Sanemi were sparring with each other. Finding no interest in seeing the two, his eyes then made their way over to Shinobu, where she shared a cup of tea with none other than Giyuu Tomioka.

His face morphed into an ugly scowl, his body itching to slice the Insect Pillar's head off clean with his katana. Kocho and Tomioka would often spend their time together, either playfully teasing each other or enjoying a bento box, there was no separating the two.

You stupid insect. I'll kill you.

"Iguro!" A cute, high pitched voice called out to him and Obanai instantly knew who it was.

"Kanroji! Hey." He tore his gaze away from the Water Pillar and braced the pink-haired woman into his arms, his jealousy immediately fading away.

He won't lie, Mitsuri Kanroji was his very first crush. She was lovable, the epitome of perfection. There wasn't a single thing about her that could possibly make you hate her. Obanai swore that she was a gift from the gods. An absolute angel.

However, those feelings began to decrease when he found himself staring at Tomioka for hours, his heart skipping a beat as he forced back a smile. Obanai didn't know how it happened nor did he really intend to find out.

Obanai believed that the reason would drive him to the brink of insanity. Just feeling the warmth circulate throughout his entire body was enough to piss him off.

"How are you doing today, Iguro?" Mitsuri beamed, her eyes glimmering with pure joy and that provoked a chuckle from the other.

Obanai gave her head a brotherly pat, smiling down at the Love Pillar. "I'm doing great. How about you, Kanroji? Anything exciting?"

"I was wondering.." Mitsuri started, her cheeks going ablaze as she nervously smiled down at her sandals, fidgeting with her fingers. Obanai cocked his head to the side, patiently waiting for Mitsuri to finish her thought.

Mitsuri forced down her doubts, facing Obanai straight in the eye as she genuinely smiled. "I was wondering if you'd like to join for me some lunch! There's a place that recently opened up and I would love for you to accompany me, Iguro!"

"Oh, I see." Obanai nodded. Before he could come up with a definite response, he glanced over at Shinobu once more then returned his attention back to the woman in front of him. "I think Kocho would love to go with you. I'm kinda busy. I'm sorry, pinky." He shot her an apologetic smile, bracing her into his arms once again.

Mitsuri frowned. "Oh, alright. I'll ask Tomioka before I ask Shinobu."

Mitsuri could feel his grip tighten as his voice lowered into a menacing whisper, his breath dangerously fanning against her ear. "Oh, Kanroji. That won't be necessary. I'm sure he has plans so why don't you stick with Kocho, eh?"
