Hi dearies! This chapter was recommended by twdg_iloveit and I didn't plan it to go this way, but it did so yeah :)

It only took twenty minutes before the piece was done. It was gorgeous!

It had the first five gems lining the chain, the hanging from those was the next two, the diamond, and then two more. And under the diamond were the final two.

It was surprisingly light when I picked it up, but still heavy. I placed it in the box the man offered and I placed the lid. "Thank you."

He gave me a warm smile before I picked up the box and left.

I immediately called a carriage and hopped inside. "Schuyler residence please." I said as I shut the door. I heard the seat rustle and looked up.

"Levi?"

He chuckled and gave me a small wave. I laughed. "Hello Y/N!" He said cheerily.

I smiled at him and he snapped the reigns, the horses moving. "So you're a reporter and a carriage driver?" I asked. He merry nodded.

"Oh, and I sail occasionally. I work at a few stores around here and care for animals."

I made a sound that was somewhere between a cough and a sigh. "What don't you do?" I asked. He thought for a few moments. "I don't dance. I refuse to."

I gave a wry laugh. "Of course. Of course it's dancing!"

He chuckled and nodded. "It's like I got two left feet." He mused. I laughed and he flashed me a grin over his shoulder.

We arrived at my house and I grabbed the jewelry box. "My father's tab please." I said as I stepped outside. "Already done. Merry Christmas!" Levi said, peeling out before I could say it back.

I shrugged and went inside my house. "Hello!" I said loudly into the empty house. I set the gift box on the side table and started to walk around. "Is anybody home?"

I heard footsteps behind me and tensed. They sounded like boots, two sets, which meant two people. I acted like I couldn't hear them and continued walking. I needed a plan, just in case those people were 'uninvited guests'.

"Not even a maid?" I said to myself, making sure the people behind me could hear.

Were they British soldiers that followed C/N? Or was C/N's story a ruse after all? Before I could sort it all out, the footsteps rushed and and I spun around, ducking and dodging both men. I shot to a stand once I was behind them and faced my attackers.

Two redcoats were scrambling to their feet, having fallen when I dodged them. I gave a short gasp when they faced me.

Both men were from the fire! God in Heaven, it seemed ages ago when they brought me to the miserable shack to...

I shook away my thoughts. I needed a clear head to save myself. They gave me feral grins and I knew they would do more than kill me. I scanned around the room for a weapon and saw a letter opener on a nearby desk.

I faced the men again. "Hello, long time no see." I said, hiding the slight panic that was starting to rise within me.

The first man laughed and drew his sword. He was the one I kicked. The other was the one that failed to untie my skirts. "Oh no no no. It's been a long time since you've seen us, but we've been watching you."

I almost vomited at the thought of these two disgusting clowns stalking me.

I side stepped towards the letter opener. They had yet to see it, so they took a step towards me. I swallowed. "W-Where is my family?" I asked, cursing my stammer. They both manically laughed and I took the moment to snatch the letter opener, hiding it within my skirts.

"Oh, is the little brat scared?" The second man asked tauntingly. I glared at him. "You two idiots have no clue, do you?" I asked, adjusting my grip on the weapon I held.

They tilted their heads mockingly and I went on.

"I was at sea for weeks! I fought, harmed, and captured two fleets of redcoats! You two self-absorbed buffle-headed pricks are nothing I can't handle!" I said, trying to seem threatening.

They both had their swords out now. "Yeah, but you had your own sailing crew with you. And a sword. So how about that?" The first said, both of them stepping closer. If they lunged, their weapons would pierce me.

I lifted the arm, the letter opener coming into view. "Catch!" I shouted, throwing it tip first. It landed and stuck inside the second man's arm.

He screamed and dropped his sword. "The bitch cut me!" He shouted. I swooped down and grabbed the sword he dropped. The first man ignored his screaming, bleeding companion and charged for me.

I yelped and our swords clashed together. I shoved him back and ran upstairs. I heard his rushed footsteps follow me up and I knew I was trapped.

"You'll pay for that one!" He shouted when I turned around, my back against a wall. His steps slowed as he approached me.

I temporarily shoved my panic aside and adjusted my grip on the sword, the memories coming back to me. He looked at my posture and chuckled. "Guess we'll have a good old fashion sword fight."

I rolled my shoulders as he got into stance. Without warning, he lunged, the sword aiming for my neck. I fell to my knees and stuck my weapon out. I felt it cut fabric and some skin and the soldier staggered back.

He cursed and pressed a hand to his thigh, no doubt where sword cut. I shot to my feet and held out the sword. "Where's my family!" I demanded, my voice now anything but fearful.

He just charged with a loud yell and I scowled. I side stepped and lifted my sword, running past him. I sliced his shoulder and he made a cry of agony.

I whirled around, not wanting my back to him. "Tell me and I'll spare you and your partner's life!" I yelled, desperate.

The man spat at my feet. "You'll never know."
