Chapter 18:Or Maybe He Just Wanted the Opportunity To See You Guys Undressed.

"Jake is gonna murder us." I mumbled the next day. Nate and I were behind the hut that we saw Missy and Chance behind the day before.

Nate nibbled at my neck. "Jake doesn't have to find out."

"Well he will if we don't leave, we've been back here for fifteen minutes and we said we were getting everyone Piña Colas. It doesn't take 15 minutes to get coconut mix drinks."

"Fine." He muttered pulling away. "By the way you now have a hickey."

Dammit, I reached up to let my hair out of its ponytail. "Good job Nate, that's not discrete at all."

He just had the nerve to wink at me. "Come on, let's just getting them drinks."

"What took so long?" Chrissy asked when we got back, just as I suspected.

I shrugged, seeming nonchalant about the situation. "The bartender messed up some guys drink and he threw a fit."

"Okay then." She bought it and took her drink, taking a large sip of it.

Everyone grabbed their drinks and relaxed into the sand. I kept my eyes on Missy and Chance. Leaning over to Chrissy I whisper. "Have they admitted it yet."

She shook her head causing her blonde waves to tumble around her shoulders. "They haven't said anything yet and it's bugging me. Should we just come out and say that we know, we know there something going on between them?"

It was my turn to shake my head. "I don't want to punch them."

She looked at me with waved eyebrows. "You not want to be pushy? I don't buy it."

"Okay fine." I agreed. "I want to know what's going on, here I go."

I turned to the two in question. "Oh Missy, Chance. I have something I need to say to the two of you." Jake and Nate both watched waiting to see what I was gonna do. Chrissy sat back with a sly smile. "You two make a cute couple."

Chance's mouth dropped open as Missy ran a hand down her face. "How did you know?" He stuttered.

"Magic." I grinned. "Okay I saw you guys making out behind the hut. And here I thought you were gay Chance."

He coughed awkwardly and scratched his neck. "I lied, I was never gay."

"Then why the hell would you say that you were?" Chrissy yelled at him.

"Uhh." He looked so uncomfortable. "I don't know, we were playing truth or dare one night and you asked Missy who her crush was and I've liked her since before I could remember and got nervous it wasn't gonna be me."

I gave him a dry glare. "So you said your were gay? Do you realize how stupid that is?"

"We were 14, I don't know why I said it. I always seem to get so awkward around Missy and I don't know okay.... Please don't hit me."

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. Chance you are a stupid moron why tell the damn girl you like when you can just pretend to be gay for the last four years. "Chance why in hells name did you pretend to be gay for the past four effing years instead of just tell us the truth."

"I don't know! I'm a dude, you always say how dudes are stupid maybe your right okay!"

"I'm gonna just accept your apology and not punch you in the face for be stupid and get myself a stinger drink cause I'm gonna need." I pushed myself of the burning sand and began walking towards the bar.

I had just purchased my drink when and arm looped around my shoulder.

"What do you want Nate?" I sucked my drink through the straw.

"You seem really upset about Chance not being gay." He directed us in the opposite direction of our friends. "Why is that?"

Sighing, I answered. "You know I guess I just always kinda figured he wasn't. He didn't act like a gay guy, but I didn't want to be a stereotypical bitch and just assume you know. I also know that Missy has had a crush on Chance since forever. You know maybe he was just a idiot and blurted that out for what he said, or maybe he just wanted to get closer to Missy in a weird sort of way, even though I don't know how being gay would do that."

"Or maybe he just want the opportunity to see you guys undressed but you never would have aloud that if you know he was actually straight." Nate suggested laughing. "Damn why didn't I think of that?"

"In that case I'll kick him in the nuts."

"See, now that's friendship. Go, go kick your best friend in the nuts. Let him know you care."

I glanced at an amused Nate. "You are finding this way to amusing."

"I won't lie, you guys are better than television. I could see you guys having a reality tv show. Sadly you don't have a Kim Kardashian butt."

"Hey." I elbowed him in the side. "My butt is real."

A smirk formed on his perfectly handsome face. "I love your butt." His arm wrapped around my waisted and the other under my knees and picked me up.

"What are you doing?" I asked holding onto him. "If you drop me I kill you."

"I won't drop you. Your not even heavy, your as light as a feather."

"So why did you pick me up?" I asked.

"To do this." He pressed his lips to mine, Running one hand down to my butt and the other into my dark hair.

"Why did you need to pick me up to do that?" I asked when he pulled away.

He smiled and tapped my nose. "Your shorter than me and some times tilting my neck like that hurts."

"You are such a baby."  My hand wrapped around his hair and tugged. "We should get back. I have to kick Chance in the nuts."

"Come on, I shall give you a ride, your short legs can't keep up." He continued to carry me.

"I'm 5'7. I'm not short!"

"Shorter than me."

Jake gave us a weird look when we returned. "Why is he carrying you!" He asked me in a protective tone.

"He said I was to slow cause I am short, but I'm not short, not even close. And will you calm down Jake. Your gonna give yourself an ulcer." He just gave Nate a warning look before turning back to whatever he was doing.

"Chance." I called to my male friend. "I forgive you for being stupid and you better be good to Missy or I kill you."

He smiled, getting up from his sitting place on the sand. "Oh thanks Lia I'm sorry for being stupid, I was so- Ahh holy shit." He crumbled to the ground holding his nuts. "I should have seen that coming."

"Sorry," I apologized. "I just had to get that out of my system. I'm all good now."

"That's great." He breathed through his teeth with a hiss. "I love you to Lia."

"Love you Chance!" I patted his head. "Now anyone want to hit the waves?"
