Recap:

Where to hide? Where to hide?

Light bulb.

Behind the tiki bar and surf shack. The perfect spot to hide. I skidded around the corner. I covered my mouth to prevent from screaming at the scene in front of me.

Missy and Chance.......were making out.

Chapter 16: Welcome To The Less Colorful Side Of The Rainbow

Nate came up behind me, ready to attack me. Not taking my eyes off the sight in front of me, I grabbed him and pulled him away. His eyes widen as I threw him against the side of the tiki bar.

"Damn girl, I know I'm hot but contain your self." His brown eyes scanned my body. "Or not. I'm good either way."

I scoffed,"No you walking testosterone, I'm not trying to get all up in your pants."

"You can't just go teasing a guy like that, there are consequences." His voice lowered. A shiver ran down my spine, maybe I could drag him behind that tree and totally forget about my gay best friend making out with one of my girl best friends.

"Chance is gay." I blurted.

Nate's eyebrows creased, "I'm aware. What has that got anything to do with this?"

"I saw him making out with Missy." The brunette in front of me held a look of pure shock.

"Are you sure it was Missy and Chance? Not any couple that could look like them."

I rolled my eyes. "I think I know my best friends." I stuck my head back around the corner, bringing Nate with me. "See."

"Whoa."

"No shit!" I exclaimed. Pulling him back around the corner.

"They are really going at it." He stuck his head back around.

"Stopping being a perv!" I pulled him back for the second time. "We have to go tell Jake and Chrissy."

"Your right. Let's go." He started walking. I waited patiently until he was ten feet in front of me before sprinting towards him. I jumped onto his back. "What the hell?"

"Your faster then I am. Now run forest run!" He grunted before taking off at full speed. My hair whipped around my head, smacking me in the face, getting caught in my mouth. I need to wash my hair tonight.

"Here we are my lady." He squat down when we were in front of the vacation house. I slid off his back, feet landing in the warm sand.

"Thank you pet." I pet his head.

"I feel so used." I rolled my eyes at him.

I lead him into the house, it was quiet. Is Jake and Chrissy here? They are by far the loudest of us all. Either that it they were upstairs making babies. I'm gonna go with the later.

"Let's check up stairs." Nate grabbed my arm and pulled me up the stairs.

"I can walk on my own you know." I commented, trying to get my arm out of his grip.

"Yeah, yeah. But your slower than molasses. I want to get up the stairs while I'm still young." Nate didn't release my arm.

My mouth fell open. "Asshole."

"I only speak the truth."

We reached the top of the stairs. Jake and Chrissy's room was to the right. There we noises coming for the other side of the door. Thankfully they were not R rated sounds.

"Die motherfυckers, die!"

A snort came from next to me. "I don't think that something you yell out in the thrones of passion."

"Well, let's find out." My hand gripped the knob. I flung the door open, preparing for the worst.

Nope, my idiotic brother was playing Call Of Duty. Don't ask me which one, cause I have no clue. And of course he was yelling at the screen. With Chrissy no where in sight.

"Bro!" I screamed, trying to draw his attention from the screen. It didn't work. Once he was in the zone, he was in the zone. No way of getting him out. Unless of course....

"Hey!" Jake yelled at the blank screen. He turned to glare a the culprit who unplugged his t.v. That of course would be me.

"Don't you hey me! We have an emergency. Where's Chrissy?" I cocked a hip.

"In the bathtub. She decided she needed to soak and de-stress. What ever the hell that means."He pointed to the door on the other side of the room.

Nodding, I walked up to the door, stuck my head in and said, "Hey Chrissy? Is it okay if me, Jake and Nate come in. We have a serious emergency."

Chrissy was laying in the bath tub, bubbles up to her neck. Which was good because as much as I love my best friend I do not wish to see her naked. Which has happened before. We are not very modest people.

"Sure. Come one in." She waved me in. I turned to the boys, finding out that they were right behind me.

"Personal space." I pushed them back. "But we can go in." The two boys followed me in. Thankfully the bathroom was a very decent size and could fit us in comfortably.

"So what's this emergency?" Jake asked. He was sitting on the ledge of the bathtub. The sudden urge to push him in came over me, but I pushed that away.

Taking a breath, I spoke. "We saw Chance and Missy making out."

Both their eyes widened. "He's gay." They both said in unison.

"Maybe he just pretended." Nate suggested.

"Now why would he do that?" I questioned.

"I don't know. Guys do stupid stuff." He shrugged.

"He'a not lying." Jake added. "But whatever the reasons we love Chance and Missy. No matter what we will support them."

"Agreed." Chrissy pipped in.

*********

"Gosh! What do we say?" Chrissy asked for the third time in the last minute. All of us had made our way downstairs. Chance had texted saying they were on their way back from the beach. So here we were, all sitting in the living room, awkwardly waiting their arrive.

"Nothing. Don't mention it, at least not yet. Give it some time. Maybe they will come out and tell us." Yes, maybe they will come out and tell us. Skips over a very awkward conversation.

Just then the back door opened. Everyone one went ridged as we waited for them to approach the living room. When the approached Chance seemed to noticed everyone's stiff posture.

"What's going on?" He said hesitantly.

No one said anything.

"Welcome to the less colorful side of the rainbow." Nate said into the silence.

"What?"
