☆Chapter 12: At Odds

'You won't dare reject me!' Aides yelled.

'Watch me,' Hades said. 'Accept her and I won't reject her and I will.'

'You are going too far for that female,' he said.

'Yeah, well I'll go as far as I can to have her forever,' Hades said. 'Now back off.'

He blocked him again. Aides have been complaining a lot. What Honey told him, it's incredible. He means it's a great piece of history. Her mother was devoted, to Honeys father. Honey's mother didn't leave him at all. She suffered a lot.

Hades won't ever be like that. He's not him. And besides, he was a vampire. And his not.

"Where were you all day?" Hades jumped a bit.

"Out," he said walking pass Salome. "What do I have a time I'm supposed to come home?"

"No worry about you," she frowned. "Lately you have been out a lot. And you don't even tell me where you go or what time you are coming home. And you don't answer your phone."

"Sorry," Hades said."Just been busy."

"With Honey," he shrugged. "I get she's your mate and all. But you have duties. You're a Beta, and you're behind schedule."

"I'm sorry okay," he sighed. "I'll catch up."

"I'm not saying you can't see her," Salome said. "Just that you have duties to fulfill. The day you accepted this post. The day you swore to do your job as a Beta. Your pack needs you; Honey can wait she isn't going anywhere. Your responsibility is with your pack, don't forget it." Since when did she become against him. What did he do to her?

"Are you alright?" Hades asked. "Because you are acting strangely."

"I'm fine," she said. "Worry about you, since you found her. You have been in and out of the house. And you come home late at nights. And don't think I don't know she's been coming at nights too. Hades, she's trespassing. You any idea what trouble she'll get in, what trouble you'll get in."

"It doesn't matter, she's my mate," he said. "The pack needs to respect her. Just as I respect them."

"Hades," great, now Sebastian is going to lecture him. "When where you going to tell us, your mate a vampire?"

"I'm sorry, okay," he sighed.

"Sorry?" Sebastian laughed. "Is she pretty? When are you going to introduce her to us?" Hades looked at him.

"Sebastian, aren't you against it?" Hades asked. "Becasue Salome here seems to be against it. Even though she is supposed to be the reasonable one."

"I am not against you or her," Salome said.

"Nope, it will bring our kind and theirs together," Sebastian said. "Than I won't have to worry about them trespassing and all that. I don't mind your mate coming over. I give you full permission. I'll talk to Clay about, need to report to him soon."

"Well thanks," Hades was relieved.

"Well then," Salome smacked Sebastian. "At least tell him to answer his phone and finish his duties."

"Oh Hades, do that too," Sebastian said. Salome just sighed.

"Oh and she's been grumpy, maybe she needs to get laid," Hades chuckled, docking as she swings to smack him. He ran inside.

He went into the kitchen, and he saw Imani on top of the counter holding a box of cookies. "Imani?" She looked at him innocently. "You know you're not supposed to be eating them. You need to wait until after dinner."Come on hand it over." She shook her head.
