"You thought you would get away alive!" Carter yelled. "Your one stupid boy!" Hades groaned as he felt another punch.

He's glad Honey got away. He can endure all this pain, knowing she's okay. Though he has to keep alive, Honey won't forgive him if he dies.

"Now you'll pay the consequences! With your life!" He winced. Damn it. He hopes Honey can forgive him. "You're dead!" He saw the gun and heard it go off. At first, he didn't feel anything, just his ears ringing from the loud noise. But slowly he felt the pain. It wasn't just pain; it was a burning sensation.

"We are being ambushed!" Someone yell. Then he heard howls and more shouts.

"Bastards!" He was dragged out. It was his chance. He shifted, even with the silver bullet somewhere in his body. He bit down on Carter's arm and just shook it. He shot him again, and in his eye. Hade's whimper, using his paw to rub his right eye. It hurts and burns. He couldn't see anything. "How you like that huh? I'll blind you for the rest of your life!"

"No!" He felt warm arms around him. "Stop it, Carter!"

"Mary?" Carter's voice sounded gentle and nice. "You're awake?"

"Yes I am," she said. "I thought you changed, but I was wrong. You're the same cruel man. It's why I never liked you. And I still don't like you. And I won't let you hurt anyone else." Mary as in Honey mother. She felt warm, and he likes it. She made the pain go away. He did feel pain, but not as before. She soothes him. "Where's my daughter."

"I don't know, she ran from me," Carter said. "Mary, come with me, and I won't bother them again."

"No," Mary said. "I love Edward, I always love him and always will. Don't you understand that!"

"But he hit you!" Carer yelled. "How can you stay with someone like that?!"

"I know, but he has changed now," she said. "He won't do it again. That was your fault. From the beginning, you started the attacks, you kidnapped me and got my parents killed. All you did, was to blame Edward. You hated the idea of me being with him." Hades slowly shifted back and just lay his head on her lap. "I love him. And you can't do anything about it!"

"Oh really," Hades heard a click. "Than if I can't have you, no one will." The gun. Hades can't let him hurt her. He opens his eyes. He could see from one. Or both, he couldn't tell. "Say hi to your parents for me!" The gun went off. Mary gasped and raised her arm.

Again he felt nothing. He just stared at the ceiling. And at blue eyes.

"Oh no," Mary held him. "Don't die; my daughter would be devastated. You can't leave her. She can't be alone anymore."

"Ah get off!" Hades heard Carter growl. Then he heard bone snapping and the smell of blood. "No ah!" Hades heard him gag and silence.

"Mary!" That was Edward. "Why did you went off on your own. We were supposed to go get Honey!" Honey, Hades tried sitting up.

"No, stay down Hades," Mary said. "You're injured." He wanted to see Honey. "Edward I needed to do this. Needed to face him. And I did."

"You almost got yourself killed!" Edward yelled. He sounded too angry. Is he going to hit her?

"Edward, I'm sorry," Mary said.

"Glad you okay," he said. "Now let's get him out of here."

He was hauled up. It was hard to stand up. His whole body felt numb, and the burning felt awful.

Not sure what happened. Everything was blurry. Hades would open his eyes, and see shadows. Sometimes he would see nothing. He could hear voices. But doesn't know where he was. Once in a while, he would stay awake. But he wasn't sure he was awake or dreaming. Hades felt funny and dizzy. Like he was floating in mid-air. Where was he? When he opened his eyes, all he could see was white. It was frustrating.
