'Not sure how I feel,' Aides said. 'A child is a great responsibility. But half is too much.'
'But you sounded happy before, and we don't know if it's a halfling,' Hades said.
'Believe me, it's a halfling,' Aides said. 'I smell it.'
'Look, give it a chance, in 9 weeks it will be here,' Hades said. 'And you got her pregnant so deal with it.'
'Fine,' Aides said and didn't say anything else.
In 9 weeks their pup will be here. And Hades has a lot of things to do. Slowly Honey has told her family. And Hades forgot to about Cherry. It will have to wait. His main priority is this child they are having.
The first step was, they moved into the house where her birth mother is. They settle down there. But Honey's stepfather wasn't so pleased about all this. But his giving it a chance.
"Hey mom," Honey sat down beside the bed where her mother laid. "I'll be here closer to you. You'll be having a grandchild too."
Hades swears he saw her fingers move. But he thinks that's was just his imagination from all this exhaustion.
So during the first week. Things were okay, but then strange things began to happen. He would stay alone at the house, while Honey and the nurse went out. So he was left with her mother. But when he checks on her, the window was open. Hades thought the nurse left it open, so he closed it.
Then a few minutes later, he walked past the room, and the window was open, again. And it happened a few times, only when he was left alone. And this smell, of dirt. It was always in the room. He also found some footprints. Shoe prints. Now, he doesn't want to draw to convulsions. But sometimes he believes it may be, Edward coming to see Mary. It's a possibility. He doesn't want to say anything yet. He wants to have solid proof first. So he waited in the next room. And just at the right moment, he sneaked toward the other room. Peeking in, he saw someone leaning over Mary. Hades went in.
"Who are you and don't try to run?!" Hades yelled. The person looked up. They seemed to be debating, but at last, they sat down.
"You're smart," it's a male voice. So Hades may be right. He pulled his hood down. "My beautiful Mary. You know I looked for her all these years, and now I finally found her. Only to find her like this."
"Your Edward?" Hades sat on the other chair.
"Yes," he looked at her. "You're my little girls mate."
"Yeah," Hades smiled. "Is that a bad thing?"
"No I want my daughters to be happy," he said. "Just not liking how you got her pregnant too soon. But it can't be helped. Both my daughters are pregnant. And to tell you the truth. They aren't twins."
"What?" Hades frowned.
"They were born a year apart," he said. "But we passed them as a twin; it was much easier like that."
"I see," Hades looked down. "Seems like one of them don't know they have a sister. I mean Cherry is the one."
"I know, I been keeping track of them, since the day I found Mary, which was a month ago," he said.
"How did you survive?" Hades asked.
"I escaped, Carters family thought I had died," he laughed. "But I didn't, I'm a vampire, a stab to the heart isn't enough to kill me. Eventually, I manage to take the stake out and yeah."
