☆Chapter 23: Honey In Danger

"I am not wearing that," Honey said. "That looks like, a granny would wear."

"Honey!" Her aunt said. She's starting to call her that. Though it's hard sometimes, Honey calls her mom. Everyone found out that her father was alive. Well, he showed up during dinner and shocked everyone. Vlad was surprised and had gone after Edward. They got into a small scuffle. But they seem to talk it out. Now all is to normal all Honey needs is her mother, Mary. She has two dads. And two moms. It's awesome.

"I'm serious, I ain't wearing it," they wanted her to start wearing maternity clothing.

"It ain't bad," Cherry said.

Oh right, after the day when her father, Edward arrived. They went to look for Cherry. They found her, and what a surprise she's pregnant too. She was with her mate. They talked to her explained to her, she said she always knew something was missing and she felt alone. Also Honey found out, they aren't twins, just a year apart. But they were passed as twins. She's happy theirs only one her. She knows that sounds greedy, but she likes herself.

"But," Honey sighed. "Fine, I'll wear it." Her belly has grown a lot in this two weeks. She smiled. She felt like things were going in the right path. But there was this nagging feeling in the back of her head. She didn't put too much thought into it. She doesn't want to jinx it.

After their little clothing picking. Honey went to look for Hades. He was at the clan house doing some work. As she walked there, she felt weird. Like someone was watching her. She looked around, sniffing around, and listening. Nothing, she can't smell anything. She had assumed it was her father who was the one. When he mentioned, he had been watching her from a distance. But that wasn't true. Because now that he is back, she still feels like someone is watching her, but who. Honey just relaxed and kept walking. She would fly there, but she didn't want to risk it. She kept her guard up and her phone in hand. She has Hade's number in the emergency contact.

As she walked, she heard rustle nearby. Looking around Honey didn't see anything. Again she heard footsteps. She should've had waited with the others. Yeah, she should go back. She turned around and screamed.

"Don't make a sound," she stayed still. Who is this man? She was afraid; she has never been afraid before. But she guesses, it has to do with her baby. "You look a lot like your mother." He knows her mother? But which one? She's terrified. "I would've had gone to your mother, but your father beat me to it." He took ahold of her; Honey struggled now. He has her mouth cover. This man is creepy. "Mary belongs to me, and I'll get her, even if I have to threaten her with killing her daughter. One of her daughter." He dropped his hand. "Speak."

"My mother in a coma," she whispers. "How is y-you going to take her?"

"I have my ways," the man said.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"My name is Carter," he said. She gasped, no that can't be.

"But your death," she said. "You can't be alive."

"I lived, it wasn't hard to fake my death," he said. "I was thinking of faking it, letting my family take care of your father. But I guess it didn't work much. Maybe a bit." She just looked at him. He's a dangerous man. And she needs to get away from him. "Don't struggle, or else." He placed his hand on her belly and squeezed. Not too hard, but enough that she could feel pain.

"Please stop," she said. "Don't hurt my baby or me."

"Than you'll do what I tell you, let's go," he said. Honey obeyed him. She won't risk her child's life.

Not sure where he was taking her to. But the woods seem to get darker and creepier. Yes, she's a vampire, but that doesn't mean she likes scary stuff. Her phone began to vibrate in her pocket. Please don't let him hear it. But he did.
