They threw the sticks and wood planks along with some hay to burn, after days of collecting. The old lady didn't want anyone to become a Silver Blood, she felt after her son's death things has been meaningless to her. The only thing she had in her mind was the thought of revenge, and the one that she wanted to avenge was her own son.

"Mother Greta," one of the villagers came to her as she turned around, with her cold eyes looking at them as if she saw through them.

"What is it, Michael? Is there anymore objection in the village?"

"There certainly is, people were talking about how without the Silver Blood, there can't be any more slayers to save them from the cruelty of the dark—"

She held her hand out, shutting him up completely, she looked at him with hatred in her eyes, "we can do this on our own, the Silver Blood isn't someone we needed, if any more Silver Blood rises up, we need to execute them, now go get me the names of those who object, we should burn them too on the stakes."

"But what if they are innocent—"

"Fate has decided that they shall not be innocent, not innocent from any blood that they had to sacrifice in order to rise as the new Silver Blood, violent creatures, aren't they? Why should we care about those who support her, we should just burn them, burn these fools down to ashes, if they still disagree with us."

The guard wanted to speak up, but she glared at him, "and if you insist, I might just lower your rank, and you know how hard is it to feed your own family, don't you?"

            "Yes, Mother Greta..."

She shooed him away with her hand. He walked away as he ordered the villagers to carry more firewood to throw into the pit. The old lady had a smile on her face as she whispered under her breath.

"Finally, my son, you will be avenged."

Inside the cold cell, Snow was on the ground, she was so skinny and her strength had left her. Her hair had become a mess and her clothes could barely give her any more warmth. Her eyes were swollen from crying too much, she had prayed for the hope that she would escape this place once and for all.

         "Susanna Evers."

She lifted her head slowly to see a guard looking down at her before she saw more guards walking behind him. She sighed; she would have fought but there was nothing left of her strength to fight any of them.

          "It's time," they told her.

In an instant, they grabbed her arms and tied her forcefully, she felt the pain in her wrist but she could barely complain as they started dragging her away, with her feet just dragging on the ground. Her vision was fading and the stone walls of the dungeon barely bothered her, the only thing that was on her mind was what was going to happen once she's gone.

The moment they got out from the dungeon, it was nighttime, as she saw hoards of villagers just gathered around her. The guards started to bring her to the stake as if she was a witch to be burned on a stake for her crimes.

The people looked at her and gave her an insulting gaze, they were bringing their children to witness the death of the Silver Blood, by the order of Mother Greta herself. The villagers didn't want to come to the execution, but the old lady had controlled the village and said she would burn their families too.

Snow was dragged across the ground before getting tied to the stake, it felt as if there was nothing that she could do to have her sin be forgiven, the villagers looked terrified, and some in disgust with her. Those look no longer bother her, all she did was just looking down, with the feeling of helplessness slowly rising up to her throat.

Mother Greta started to stand in front of her with a torch in her hand, as she screamed to the crowd in front of her, saying, "this woman is the one who killed my son, the one that was supposed to lead our people, the one that's supposed to make us be put into fame and riches!"

The crowds started talking to each other, their eyes widened in fear before Mother Greta started burning the wood as they screamed, seeing the fire just grew and grew larger. People started screaming seeing the large flames just rise up as quick.

The silver-haired woman could barely speak, her eyes had already started to close, the fire nearly licked her barefoot. She wanted to scream but no voice came out.

Crush

Crunch

She opened her eyes when she heard that sound before she saw a large werewolf spreading the crowd around, they were only screams and terror as people pushed each other to the ground. She became confused about what was happening before she saw the werewolf's eyes staring back into her blue ones.

         "She's a witch!" People shouted.

The werewolf howled loudly as it started jumping into the large fire as pushed down the stake with its large claws. She felt her back crashing down to the ground, the wolf pulled the ropes that tied her with its bare teeth and broke her free. As she got up she noticed the werewolf fur was burning before it grabbed her placing her on his back and started running as fast as it could, into the deep forest, as the fire on his back started to fade from the speed that he was going.

"Matt is this you?!" She shouted.

He couldn't answer, his mouth was shut by the werewolf form that he was taken in. He only continued to run into the deep forest, not caring about what was happening, as she held him tighter from the speed that he was going. They ran away together, and the people of the town was left in terror as the fire spread further.

Every villager started running, the heat was rising up as the fire kept spreading across the town, consuming everything in its path. Mother Greta kept running, pushing away the rest of the villagers, some fell down and got caught by the flames, the screams and terror were the only things that filled the air. On that day, every mother, every father, and every child had lost someone they love.

"Mother Greta, the town is burning down, save us!"

"I don't care, this is all a curse, the curse from that wicked woman!"

On that day many of the villagers were burnt to ashes, the old woman stood still at the high ground, watching everything burnt down. However, she did not give up, the fire that burnt the town to the charcoal it is, only made her want to end the life of the Silver Blood more.

"Mother Greta, what should we do? We lost everything."

"We have not," she said, "We shall rebuild this place from ashes, and rise up like a phoenix before we burn her down with us too."

She clenched her fist tight, and she had people behind her this time. Deserving of it or not is a question that remains unanswered, at least for now.
