14| Decorations

When my alarm rang I pull my blanket off of my face and turn my alarm off.
I get out of bed and drag myself to the shower so I don't grow tempted to stay in bed.

I get dressed into blue jeans and a white crop top. I was in the midst of doing my makeup when Hunter calls.

"Let me give you a ride to school." He says and I laugh. "Why?" I ask whilst finishing my mascara. "It's just easier." He says. "Okay then." I say cleaning up my stuff and ending the call.

I put my shoes on and rush downstairs for breakfast and coffee.

I wait at the island until my phone rang.

"Coming." I say as I answer. "That's what she said." He says and I laugh and head to the car.

I climb into his car and he hands me a coffee. "Is this for me?" I ask smiling. "No it's for your mom, is she still in the back seat?" He asks and I roll my eyes. "You're such an ass." I say and take a sip of the coffee. "I know right?" He asks.

"You gonna be in Spanish?" I ask as we head through the school doors. "Well yeah, that's kinda why I wanted to give you a lift. We have Spanish first." He says walking me to my locker.

"Nope. I have English first." I say and he groans.

He starts cracking his knuckles and I turn to see Kyle walking away. "You're mean." I say and he shrugs. "Don't care." He says.

"Come on. I'll walk you." He says and I raise an eyebrow. "Are you feeling okay?" I ask and he nods. "Perfect." He says walking me to class.

"See you in Spanish." He says as I get to my English class. "See you then." I say and step inside.

After a long hour of English I pick up my books and walk past Kyle to get out of there.

I walk to my locker and switch out my books. "You ready Johnny." Hunter says slamming my locker shut. "I am." I say and we head to our Spanish class.

I take my seat next to Lily and Hunter pulls a seat up beside me.

"What's going on with you two?" Lily asks as I start scribbling in my note book. "He's terrible at Spanish." I say and Hunter nods. "It's true." Hunter says before ripping a piece of paper from my notebook and flirting with the girl to the side of him for a pen.

"I have work after school." I say to Hunter who nods. "I'll take you there and pick you up, duh." Hunter says.

"What's wrong with your car?" Lily asks as I begin to write some work down. "Nothing, he wanted to give me a ride." I say and Lily raises an eyebrow.

"You two would make the prettiest babies." Lily says leaning infront of me to tell Hunter. "You know I'm not looking for anything." I say and Hunter starts laughing.

"That's not what you were saying to Conor this weekend." He says and Lily laughs and high fives him. "I hate you." I say to Hunter who shrugs.

"Come on. Wanna ditch an make pretty babies?" He asks and I roll my eyes playfully. "No. You need to inprove on your Spanish skills." I say and he groans.

"How about this." I say offering a compromise. "You pay attention and do the week and we can ditch to make babies." I say and Lily gasps whilst Hunter picks his pen up and starts writing immediately.

"Friends my ass." Lily says and I tap Hunter's shoulder. "We're just joking. We aren't actually." I say.

My shift was far too boring, it was just so quiet.

Hunter came in for the last hour and sat at a table whilst claiming to be doing homework.

After locking up, me and Hunter rush to his car to shelter from the rain.
