*Firehouse 51: Apparatus Floor*
Gabby honked at Ana from behind the wheel of Ambulance 61 and the older woman waved back as they drove by. The brunette turned back to the Firehouse and found her two favorite Lieutenants leaning against the Squad Truck with cigars in their hands.
"Hey, boys." Ana smiled once she was close enough.
"Mom." Matt and Kelly greeted, simultaneously.
Both men immediately angled their cigars away from the older woman, not wanting her to be a victim of their secondhand smoke.
Ana went to ask them how they were but the words died in her throat when she caught sight of a depressed looking Joe Cruz over at the Squad Table.
"He okay?" She wondered instead and the two Lieutenants followed her gaze.
"Yeah, he's fine." Matt nodded.
"He's just working through some things." Kelly added, being purposely vague.
Neither man wanted to drag her into Joe and Mouch's feud just yet. They had a hunch that everything would be okay again soon and didn't want the brunette worrying about something she shouldn't have to worry abouy in the first place.
"Okay." Ana nodded, heading inside.
*Later that Night: Molly's*
Ana walked in just as a visibly drunk Joe came storming out. He paused to mumble a quick greeting in her direction but rushed away before she could reply. Immediately growing concerned, the brunette scanned the crowd and rushed over to the table Kelly was currently seated at.
"Sev, what's going on with Joe?" Ana inquired, slipping into the seat across from him and using some of the cop within her to try to elicit an actual response this time.
Unfortunately, it didn't work.
"Mom, trust me. It's not something you should or need to worry about." Kelly assured. "It'll straighten itself out eventually."
The brunette stared at him for a little longer and sighed, waving Gabby over for a couple shots. She spent the rest of her night drinking with the Squad Lieutenant and keeping an eye on Matt. He was having a conversation with a sharp looking man in a suit when another, wasted looking, man came up beside the Truck Lieutenant.
He said something and the man in the suit made his way to the door, saying something in reply. He left and the wasted looking man shouted something after him before staggered off. Gabby rushed over to Matt with an apologetic expression and the two exchanged words before the Truck Lieutenant stormed off.
He reached the door and hesitated, glancing over at where he knew Ana watching. Matt shot her a reassuring look and nodded before leaving the bar completely. The brunette merely turned her attention back to Kelly and downed another shot.
*Next Shift*
Truck 81, Squad 3, Engine 51, Ambulance 61, Battalion 25. Factory fire at 4545 South Carroll.
Everyone arrived on sight and hopped out of their respective vehicles, or Squad in Ana's case. The brunette rushed to Chief's side while the rest grabbed/put on their gear and crowded around the two CO's, awaiting their orders.
"Listen up, okay, they're saying trapped workers, but I already don't like this smoke." Chief sighed. "51, let's get a line in there. Quick trigger on this one. My gut is saying four minutes." He informed, turning to Kelly.
