*Destroyed Building/Crime Scene*
When the two Sergeants arrived, it was a mess of debris and firefighters. They spotted Kim talking to a Battalion Chief, that wasn't Boden, and Ana was immediately on high alert. She had spotted a familiar face among all the CFD members and if her Chief wasn't here with him, then something was dangerously wrong. The two Voights walked towards Kim and the Battalion Chief walked away upon seeing them approaching.
"Body inside the house." The female Officer informed. "Or, you know, what's left of it. Reynolds is the LGBT home." Kim went to explain what the letters meant when she realized that Ana most likely already knew and continued relaying what happened. "Everyone in there was evacuated to the school basement, which is down the block."
"Okay. Thanks." Hank nodded.
"Yeah." She replied.
The two Sergeants turned and walked towards the body where-
"Randy." "Mouch." They greeted, simultaneously.
"Sergeant." He nodded. "Ana."
"Another day at the office, huh?" She smirked.
"Yeah. These natural gas explosions are no joke." Mouch explained, speaking mainly to Hank while gesturing between himself and Ana. "We've seen one take out half a city block."
"Any indication how it happened?" The older man wondered.
"Gas flex hose was removed from the kitchen wall, so looking like this was intentional." The firefighter replied, pointing to the portion of said wall that was somehow still standing.
Hank grunted in reply and Ana turned to face him.
"Henry, can you give us a minute?" She requested, watching him nod and walk off.
The brunette merely scanned the scene before her and Mouch sighed, knowing exactly what she was looking for.
"Boden and Anderson butted heads on a call a few days ago. Boden made a call that practically saved Anderson and his crew but Anderson was undermined in the process." The firefighter explained. "He didn't take to kindly to his ego getting bruised so he found a way to get some of us reassigned. No one wanted to tell you cause we knew you'd do something stupidly reckless and we didn't want you getting hurt or in trouble on our behalf." He reasoned, noticing how Ana was getting angrier with each word. "But we're all okay and everything will work out."
The brunette stared at her shoes, contemplating this for a few seconds before looking back up.
"And your sure everyone's fine?" She asked in confirmation.
"As fine as can be in this situation." He nodded.
"I'll stay out of it for now but if you need my help. . ." Ana trailed off.
"If it comes down to it, we know were to find ya." Mouch smiled.
The brunette gave him one in return and went off to find her husband.
*District 21: Bullpen*
"All right, the tenant is Dan Llewellyn, 35. He's a contractor." Erin informed, taping a picture of a blonde, white, male to the board. "Now, we didn't find a cell phone anywhere on the body or on the property. All calls to Llewellyn's cell have gone unanswered, and we can't get a signal location. We've reached out to his family." She listed, counting the items off on her fingers.
"Body's at the M.E.'s office right now. They're trying to track for dental and DNA." Jay added from his partner's right. "Preliminary report says we got a male, 6'2, maybe 6'3. That matches Llewellyn's height."
