Its been about a week since my parents died. What a great Christmas to remember. Today was New Years Eve, but it wouldn't be the same without them.

"What're we gonna do tonight guys?" I asked.

"We could invite the gang over, have a small party with just the eight of us." Darry said.

Oh yeah, Darry, Sodapop and Ponyboy moved into my house with me. Darry tried to get me to stay at their house, but I insisted they need to stay here. After all, my house was bigger.

"Can we get champagne?" Pony asked.

"Yeah. But not for you two." He said pointing to Pony and I.

"Darry, I have been drinking champagne since I was six."

"You have?" He asked in unison.

"Yeah?"

"Well your not getting any. I make the rules."

"Actually, no you don't. Since this is my house, I make the rules."

"You do not." He argued.

"Yes I do, Darrel. And you're gonna listen to me." I said.

"I would start running if I were you." Ponyboy said to me.

"Nah, he won't lay a finger on me." I said as I flashed Darry an innocent smile.

"You wanna make a bet?" He asked through gritted teeth.

"Yeah sure! What're we betting on?" I asked. I new I was pushing his buttons.

I saw Soda, out of my peripheral vision, trying not to laugh.

"Ugh. I can never win with you." Darry sighed.

"Eh, I try." I said, smiling.

"Do me a favor-" Darry started but I cut him off, "Why should I?" I asked.

"I was gonna ask you to call the gang, but if you don't want to then-" I cut him off again, "Fine, okay! I'll do it."

I phoned Two-Bit's house first.

The phone rang three times before someone picked up, "Hello?" They asked. It didn't sound like Two-Bit, so I assumed it was his mother.

"Hello, this is Delaina!" I said.

"Oh Delaina! How wonderful it is to hear from you! What can I do for you dear?" I honestly loved Two-Bit's mom. She treated me as if I was her own daughter.

"Is Two-Bit home? Could you put him on the phone?"

"Of course dear, just give me one second."

"Thank you!"

"Wow, now your being nice?" I heard Darry ask. In response, I flipped him off and he rolled his eyes.

"Hello?" I heard Two-Bit ask.

"Hi Two-Bit! Got any plans for tonight?" I asked.

"Nah, not really." He answered.

"Okay then come here then. I'm gonna invite the rest of the gang over too."

"Okay." He said.

"Alright. I'll see ya later!"

"Bye!" He said and hung up the phone.

Next I called Johnny's house. The chances of someone answering the phone were slim, but I gave it a shot.

After about five or six rings, someone picked up, "Who is it?" I heard a woman's voice ask. It's his mother. I thought.
