Subconsciously I knew that he wouldn't be asleep until I was, but I would take what I could get.

I woke up before him, but I still sat there, watching him sleep. I woke up at about 10 am (an hour after we laid down). I didn't have much concept of how much time had passed, but it felt like a lot. I didn't dare get on my phone, afraid that a notification would wake him up. Instead, my phone sat on my night stand on Do not Disturb.

At some point he had mumbled something, but I couldn't catch it. Every now and then he would turn over, a back-and-forth dance. Will's audible breathing told me enough about how tired he was, so despite my boredom I was glad that he was getting the rest he needed.

He had slept for at least an hour after that. I had fallen back asleep at some point, only woken up when Will did.

"Sleep well?"

"Yeah," I yawned as I sat up.

"You were out cold."

"I could say the same about you, " I chuckled running a finger through my hair.

He laughed along, paused for a moment afterwards.

"What?"

"Uh oh, " I breathed, "I've said too much."

He frowned for a moment before shaking his head. He met my look with a small smile, "I told you to wake me up when you did."

"And you needed sleep."

"What did you do while I was out?"

"I sat here until I fell asleep again."

He furrowed his eyebrows, questioning how truthful I was being.

"Really?"

"Really. I was too tired to actually get up anyway."

"Hmmm..." He squinted at me, waiting a moment to toss me a playful smile.

"You win. Thanks for letting me sleep some more."

"You're welcome."

We both sat there for a few minutes, taking our sweet time to wake up fully before we would inevitably choose to go downstairs. But, for those minutes, we sat in comfortable silence (and beds).

"Well, I'd say it's just about time for lunch." Will spoke.

"Already?"

"We've been out for hours."

I grabbed my phone off of the nightstand and flicked it on, the time reading '2:34 pm'.

"Wow."

Will's phone buzzed and he donned a cheeky smile, tossing a short glance in my direction.

"Wanna go somewhere for lunch?"

"What are you planning?"

"A new sandwich shop opened up a few miles away from here."

"Will."

"It has really good reviews."

"Wilbur."

"I'm not hearing a no...?"

I sighed, rubbing my temple lightly.

"Sure."

"Great!" He flung himself out of bed, catching himself on his own nightstand.

"Go ahead and get dressed, I'll meet you in the living room." He said, grabbing clothes and rushing out of our room.

"Yup," I groaned, swinging my legs over the side of my bed.

This was going to be a long day.
