*thump. thump. thump.

"Hayaku(faster)! Hayaku(faster)!"

A teenage girl with two high ponytails huffs in and out, running across the wide hallway in maximum speed, not wanting to slow down even a bit. Her both hands were hugging a small brown teddy bear, close to her beating heart.

In the corner of her aqua eyes, she could barely see a hint of red liquid spoiled the true colour of her dear teddy. Tears starting to form, a drop of pure pearl surges out faster than wind.

"Hayaku(faster)! Hayakuuu(faster)!!!"

She yells on top of her lungs, which she simply assumed are about to explode because of the whole running and shouting. Adding more pressure to her both pounding legs, she cares less if her limbs are going to crash and shatter like glasses once the time she needs to stop appeared.

Each steps she took, the more exhausted she felt, countless beatings her heart obtained, stomach flipping as the white yukata around her body been lifted harshly by the night wind. The moon began to lit up her paled face, and there- a few veins popping up to its surface, eyes expanded even wider than a normal condition, she tumbled down when she was struggling to change the direction of her feet.

"Umph-!"

The ground shook as her trembling body rolled over, her head bangs the stone wall too hard until it bleeds. Blood painted the wall and continued to flow down from her forehead. The teddy bear was completely forgotten, lying next to the pool of her own blood.

But, fortunately for her, she felt her eyes growing misty, she saw nothing clearly, her pulse beat a hundred to the minute, and a strange shot of blood throbbed at her heart.

That's when she regains her full ability to blink hard, and her eyesight zoomed much sharper than before. She drew in a shaky breath, blowing out a burning huff.

"Aak- ARGHHHH!"

Yelling out once more, two sharp fangs grow in her open mouth. She tugged her no longer pure white Yukata from the bottom of her knees, tearing it apart with her new extraordinary sharpened nails.

"Tsk!" Her next breath hitched, refusing to burst out of her burning lungs with ease.

"Oo- nee-san..." with less energy left in her weak body, she crawls on the floor to reach for the shoji door. Because of the light from the full moon, she barely noticed a new presence behind her.

But surely, her shoulders tensed up upon realizing it sooner.

"Mizumi?"

Wrong timing. Though Mizumi had put most of her efforts to not turn around, her neck simply broke her hopes. Her round pupils peered sharply at the figure who was watching them with horror painted on the face, and the shape tranforms into a different one. Her once kind and gentle aqua orbs were now mixed with grieve and rage, inside of both of it was a vertical slit which gives the hint of what she is now.
