7.00 A.M.

*piak!
A loud smack greeted Kamado Tanjirou's shoulder, he jolts to the front.

"Ouch," he groans before turning around. Obviously, it would be Inosuke.

"Inosuke-" Tanjirou parted his lips, as if wanting to ask.

"Yo, Monjirou." Inosuke placed his right arm on Tanjirou's shoulders, he bumped a fist to Tanjirou's head as well.

"Uh.." Tanjirou lowered his gaze, not acting like the usual he would do.

"Did you see me just now? I rescued a strong and badass girl like Mamao! So you can't deny the fact that I'm stronger than you now, Tontarou!" Inosuke points his own thumb to himself, boasting the same words again.

"Ah.. yes. You're strong, Inosuke. Congratulations," Tanjirou cracked a small smile, which.. Inosuke could easily detect it as a fake one.

Inosuke let go of his friend's shoulders, he squints his eyes. "Duh, you okay?" He asked.

"Huh? Wh-what do you mean?" Tanjirou asked back.

"Answer the question, not giving me a new one." Inosuke with his serious face, wow it can't be.

Tanjirou was sweating hard, "I.. of- of course! I'm fine, totally-"

"-not.. fine," Inosuke crossed his arms with a frown, he dares enough to cut Tanjirou's line off.

Oh, right. Inosuke and his instincts are always right.

"Inosuke.." Tanjirou lowered his gaze.

"You can tell me about it, later. You have something important to do now," Inosuke said.

"Something.. important?" Tanjirou put a question tone again in his voice.

"Mhm," Inosuke nodded once.
