Part 34: Demons with Sad Scents🍃

Fukuichi Town,
1.15 a.m.

"INOSUKE, BEHIND YOU!"
Kanzaki Aoi raised her voice on the highest pitch of all. She was about to take her next hurried pace but Tanjirou immidiately pulled her wrist.

"NOO!"
Aoi couldn't go any further.

Tanjirou urged to calm her down,
"STOP, AOI-SAN!"

The huge clinging roots almost split the ground where they were standing as it marched forward to Inosuke. Much for him to expect, those roots keep germinating and growing larger while it was making its way more unpredictable.

While for Inosuke, he claimed himself to be so lucky for accepting that demon's first blow. And now he's ready to roll. Correcting his latest stance and put enough pressure below his both soles. By the lead of forced night wind, he bent his knees and dashed forward with a sudden burst of speed.

*TTHHHUUUMMMP!
"PIG ASSAULT!"
The mighty Hashibira Inosuke was dare enough to slice all those wiggling roots infront of him. His eyes flickering around the area in order to spot those roots' weakness or more like the source.

Capturing the most wide sight his eyes could take, he blend in and twirled his sword swiftly. Until it succeed to deal with those roots which have already been cut into small pieces.

"NO DEMONS WOULD DARE TO MESS WITH THE BEAST HASHIRA, YOU FOOLS!"
The tip of his blade shines when its reflecting the large moonlight behind him. He engaged with his flexibility once he done to parry and dodge all of those roots that come to his way.

*HUFFF!!!
The Beast Hashira took his deep breath and let out a burning ball of air that was searing the walls of his lungs.

"Beast Breathing: Fifth Fang.
Crazy Cutting!"

*SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
One. Two. Three. Another on the side, Inosuke swayed his blade far enough until he had to dislocate his right arm to extend the reach. And it did work on the least, he satisfied by those damages which has been done.

But still, he hasn't found any chances for him to stop this slicing and make his way to the deep source below those roots.

"DAMN'IT!"
Inosuke pouted as he continue to swings his single blade above, at both of sides and even below. Those roots seem not going to be so easy on him and so does he too.

While Inosuke was busy to obtain his next energy and cut the marching thorny root infront of him, he didn't realised another one approaches him from behind.
"SHIT!"
He was about to turn and only find out he's being shielded by a figure wearing hanafuda earrings.

"GAMABOKO GONPACHIROU!"
He yelled in delightful tone.

*Huff...

Inosuke heard Tanjirou's calm breathe and a smile creeps on his face as soon as Tanjirou lifted his red sword higher.

"Hinokami Kagura; Raging Sun."

The Sun Hashira unleashes two horizontal slashes to intercept the blow that's charging towards Inosuke. In split seconds, those entangle roots torned apart and found its end on the ground.

Not enough to stop everything, though. After a few seconds of taking calm breaths, those two Hashiras had to welcoming the other roots which are taking their turn to take them down.

"DAMN! How long does it going to be like this? I'm getting bored, ya know!?"
Inosuke frowned while wielding his sword firmly before he clashed it to another nasty roots below him.
