GONE (COMPLETED)

CH. 15

My mom talked to me about Thea and I don't know why she look so worried about me. Her eyes that scream of sympathy and agony which confused me so much.

"Mom, may problema ba?" — I asked her as I hold her hand that is rested on the table. She just shake her head and show me a small smile. Mom is acting suspicious which make me change into a mature one. My immaturity and childish side was slowly fading since the day I was hospitalized. "Mom you're making me worried." — I told her. She was about to open her mouth but suddenly Thea show up beside us. My attention was diverted to her as I gave her a big hug. "My sweetheart you're here." — I said happily. She peck my lips as she caressed my face. My mom was just silent as she look at us.

"Hi Tita." — my Thea greeted mom but it seems like my mom was spacing out that she didn't hear my girlfriend.

"Mom." — I called her worried. She didn't respond that's why I remove my grasp on Thea and went beside my mom. I hold my mom on her shoulder and that's the time she look at me startled. "You okay mom?" — I asked her worried. She let out a sigh as she hold my hand.

"I'm sorry anak, may naisip lang ako." — she said to me.

"It's okay. I think you need to rest mom. Anyway, Thea said Hi to you mom, hindi ko ba sya narinig?" — I asked her as I look at Thea who's still looking at us with a worried look on her face. But when she noticed me I was looking at her she smiled at me which I reciprocate.

"Oww... is that so anak? Pagpasensyahan nyo na ako." — my mom said which make me look at her. Her gaze was now on my Thea. "Sorry Thea. Your tita was just thinking and stressed." — my mom said to her. My Thea smiled at my mom as she shaking her hand in the air.

"It's okay Tita. Wag nyo pong pababayaan ang sarili nyo." — my sweetheart said to my mom. She's really caring, my Thea is still the same. Napangiti ako sa naisip. My mom just smiled at Thea before she divert her attention to me.

"Anak I'll just take a rest since I have a lot of problems at work." — my mom said to me. Napatango naman ako sa kanya habang di ko maiwasan ang mag alala.

"Okay mom." — I told her as I gave her a warm hug.

"You okay baby?" — Thea asked me, I smiled weakly at her as I can't help to worry about my mom. I know I'm giving her a hard time this past few weeks and I felt guilty for behaving like that. Mom is right, Thea should not be my world. There are other people who care for me and I'm not giving them enough attention because of my obsession of Thea. "Tita will be okay." — she said softly to me. I stared at her... this is the woman I love, the woman who became my world.

"I'm sorry sweetheart." — I breakdown as my tears start to pour in my cheeks. She look worried about as she embrace me and comfort me.

"I think you need to take a rest as well." — Thea said, she guide me upstairs and help me to lay on my bed. I'm just looking at her, memorizing her actions.

"I love you." — I blurted which make her stop from covering me with my blanket. She look at me with confusion in her eyes. I smiled sadly as I hold her hand.

"Baby I love you too. You know that right?" — she respond. Napatango naman ako sa kanya as I squeezed her hand.

"Sleep beside me." — I said. She complied and embrace me.

"Sleeping beside you always make me at ease." — she whispered.

"You never voice out that to me." — I tease her which make her giggle.

"I'm sorry for not being vocal baby. But I always love you, no matter what happened." — she said with a hint of dismay to her less affectionate towards me. Hearing those words from her melted me so much. This is a big deal to me since Thea is not really that sweet.

"It's okay as long as you are here beside me." — I said. She tightened her hug to me as she place a soft kiss on my head.

The next say came, I wake up not having someone beside me. Thea, she's like a magician now that tends to disappear whenever she wants. I'm getting used to it even though sometimes she seems different.

"Anak, I need to go. May emergency sa office." — my mom said. I gave her a kiss in the cheeks before she go. I was contemplating whether I'm going to Thea's place or not. It's been weeks since the last time I went there. I was wondering about her fam since she's not sharing about her fam to me this past few weeks. After debating at myself, I grab my jacket and keys before I went out. I breathe out, ngayon lang ulit ako nakalabas ng bahay. I just realized how much I missed going outside.

I was walking slowly, feeling the cold air in my skin, appreciating the sound of the car engine and horn. I recognize the people I bump into, they keep on saying that they are glad to see me going outside. I just smiled at them even though I'm confused on how they look at me.

Finally, I'm already infront of Thea's house. I can feel my heartbeat fastened, I'm nervous to meet her family after how many weeks have past. I was about to click the doorbell when someone caught my attention.

Thea? I was confused because she's with a guy and they look lovey dovey. What was that? Why they look like that? I can feel my trembling body, the pain in my heart is more unbearable that it makes me hard to breathe. My smile fell down and my nervous was replaced by aches.

"Jessica?" — called me and that's the time Thea and her guy look at me. Thea look startled as she pull away from the guy embrace. I look at the person who called me and it was Thea's sister, Athena. Nagulat man sya sa presensya ko but she reach for my hand and drag me inside their house. I feel lost as Thea's and the guy she was with was keep on playing in my head. I just let my tears to fall down but I hold my sob since I don't want to break down.

"What are you doing here?" — she asked me sternly as she folded her arms around her chest. I'm just looking down as I can't find my voice to answer her. I heard her sigh as she hug me and tried her best to comfort me. After dew minutes we heard a knock on Athena's room.

"Jessica?" — that was Thea, she sound so worried and shaky.

Athena pull away as she look at me with wordiness in her eyes. My heart is still aching but that's Thea and I need to face her.

"I— Athena I don't know what's happening but I need to talk to Thea." — I told her, she just look at me as if she was processing what I have said. But eventually she nodded her head. I said my Thank you to her before I open the door. Thea's worried face welcome me, I hugged her instant as I start to sob on her arms. I heard her sigh as she hug me back and stroke my back.

I'm afraid. I'm so terrified to hear what is she going to say. Just hugging her right now, it feels like she's slowly slipping away from me.

"Jessica we need to talk." — she said. Tahimik lang ako but I just nodded my head slowly. She hold my hand and pull me towards to the other room. Not in her room?

I look behind us and Athena was just staring at us. I can't read her mind but she just looking at us blankly. When she caught me staring at her, she look away and close her door.

This is it. I know her words will break me more than right now.
