12. Lando's naughty little secret

Lando slowly opened his eyes. He felt like he had a hangover, but he barely touched alcohol the night before. They were cuddling, his arm wrapped around her body, and she had intertwined one of her legs in his. After Carlos interrupted them, nothing else happened between them. Lando stroke her hair, carefully, waking her up. Alice slowly turned around and wasn't expecting to have those beautiful blue-grey eyes staring at her.

"How long have you been awake?"

"Morning to you too..." Lando said and planted a soft kiss on her forehead.

He now laid flat on his back and Alice place her head on his chest.

"So, it almost happened last night..."

"I could kill Carlos!"

"Technically it was your fault..." Alice said.

"Go wash your teeth, your breath's terrible..."

"Jeez, how charming..." Alice laughed as she knew he was joking and got up to prepare some breakfast. It was a Saturday, and they all had the day off.

Lando stayed in bed a little longer, wondering what his next move would be. He thought about how he would break the news to Alexandra. He grabbed his phone that was charging on the nightstand. Was it right to break up with someone via text message? He wondered.

Carlos was already in the kitchen when Alice went in to prepare some food. He was helping himself with a sandwich.

"Buenos dias, Carlos!" she said. She glanced over to the living room and spotted her dress still on the floor, as well as Lando's shirt still on the kitchen table. She picked up both items as Carlos looked at her amused.

"I really would have stayed in a hotel, you know that?"

"I know... don't worry. You didn't interrupt anything."

"Yeah, I bet Lando always has lipsticks marks all over his neck whenever he's home."

Alice looked at Carlos not sure what to say. She wasn't sure about him. Alice kind of felt that Carlos didn't like her much, for some reason. Perhaps he was just being like an overprotective brother to Lando.

"Listen... what happened in this room is only between Lando and me, is that okay? We are grown-ups..."

"I know, it's just things will become weird, won't they? You work together... don't get me wrong, I don't care who he sleeps with, but maybe that wasn't the best decision." Carlos said as he sipped on his black coffee.

Alice knew he was right, and it had probably been a mistake. She didn't want a relationship at that exact moment, and she was certain that Lando wasn't interested in building a family at the age of 21. She sighed as she grabbed a frying pan from the cabinet.

"Do you mind if I put some music on?" Alice asked Carlos.

"Not at all. Put something Spanish..."

Dinero, by Trinidad Cardona started playing. Carlos gave her a thumbs up.

"Come on..." she grabbed his hand to the sound of 'She take my dinero... She playing hella hard, Playing for pesos, She playing hella hard, Playing for pesos' and they were dancing like two idiots in the kitchen.

Lando smiled as he walked past them dancing in the kitchen. Alice was really a fun woman, and he enjoyed her company more than anyone else. He made a video of her and Carlos dancing and uploaded it to his Instagram stories: '@McLaren or @ScuderiaFerrari? Who will win this dancing competition?' he captioned.
