Lando and Carlos joined the group for a triple date, after Max's wedding proposal which Kelly was still shaken about. She cried her eyes out and her makeup was still holding on, an impressive feature, according to Alice.
The girls had helped Max plan the surprise a couple of weeks prior and it had all gone according to plan.
"You sneaky bitches! I can't believe you heard me complaining about Max being strange and you didn't tell me anything!"
"Aren't you happy we didn't crack under pressure?" Isa asked.
"I think I am..." Kelly replied as she stared at the huge diamond stone in her finger.
"Wish you could just get married tomorrow. You'll be a gorgeous bride!" Alice said.
"Hey! What about the groom?" Max asked.
"Everyone knows that the bride is all that matters in a wedding!" Lando added.
"Look how well trained my baby boy is!" Alice replied hugging him. She was so happy to finally be able to display any sort of affection in public. Lando lovingly gave her the middle finger for that remark.
"Who would have thought my muppet friend finally got himself a decent girlfriend." Carlos said much to Alice's joy as it seemed that Carlos had given her a chance at last.
"Okay, we have to go." Lando said, checking the time. It was barely 9 pm. He tapped Alice's leg as he got up, as he always did.
"What do you mean? It's not even quali tomorrow. I'm not going to bed now..." Alice complained.
"Damn you woman and your Portuguese stubbornness. Just come with me!" He grabbed her hand forcing her to get up.
Alice wasn't too keen on people forcing her to do anything but she decided against causing a scene. Lando probably had something planned and in Lando's fashion didn't let her know what was happening.
They walked towards his hired Mercedes while holding hands. She squeezed his hand as they continued walking in silence. Alice felt like he was more mature now than when she met him which was crazy, considering that they only knew each other for almost 6 months. Or maybe she had just gotten used to him?
"Are we really going back to the hotel?" She asked Lando.
"Why do you need to ask so many questions? Just let me take control for once."
"You take control way too many times."
He drove to a place that seemed like a camping site but there were no tents in plain view. He checked something on his GPS and continued driving through a dirt road. Lando wasn't the type of guy who enjoyed the outdoors that much or any sort of wildlife. He usually sent Alice on a mission to remove bugs from the house. She was curious as to where he was heading. Maybe he would kill her and throw her body at the Danube. It made her chuckle.
They got out of the car and walked a bit more through what seemed like a forest. They were using their phone's flashlights at that stage. Alice finally spotted where they were going. It was gorgeous!
"Omg. Lando."
"I'm not much into this but I know you like it and wanted to do something different."
It was a huge glamping tent all decorated with string fairy lights. Alice loved fairy lights more than she loved Lando. There were a few trees around also decorated with warm white hanging lights. By the entrance, there was a line of lanterns to illuminate the way.
The bed inside was huge, almost as big as the one in their hotel room. The inside was just as pretty. It was full of lights and lanterns which created all sorts of shadows.
