Chapter 18~

I stand and do as told. Walking over to the sink, I flush my cheeks, making them less red and tighten my scarf on my neck to avoid sight of any marks I may have. I then turn and leave, trying to look nowhere else accept the table.

"Heidi, what were you doing in there? We're just about done with our food and yours is probably cold. Everything okay?"  Kevin asks, pulling out my chair for me. He takes his seat and patiently waits for a response.

"I don't know. I think I blacked out or something. It all just seems like a blur. I just ran in there and felt like I was in hell or something," I mumble. Jade, Kevin and Manny stare at me with a concerned look on each face.

"I don't think you're feeling too good. I think we should just take you home and if need be, I'll take you to the hospital," Jade insists.  Kevin nods and stands once more, then drops a small amount of money on the table. Kevin laces his fingers with mine and pulls out his phone to call Alix.

-

"Heidi, I'm a bit concerned about you. What happened while you were in the bathroom?" Kevin asks, tearing away at his clothing as though he's upset. I stare at him, scared and very attracted to him at the same time.

"Nothing, I'm fine. I probably just have a bug. I'm more worried about you. You seem angry about something," I manage, while barely moving my lips.

"While you were in the bathroom, Jade kept talking about how she wanted you to stay in her apartment and possibly even go to England with her. I'm not trying to sound clingy or anything, but I just don't want to lose you,"—

"Not trying to sound clingy" Seth said that once.

"Kevin, y-you kind of sound like Seth," I stutter, biting my lip and waiting for him to lash out on me. I close my eyes and bawl my fists. I listen as he comes closer to me.  Kevin wraps his arms around me and relaxes his head on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry. I just want you to be happy. If it's with me, Jade, or even some random guy on the street, as long as you're happy, I'm happy." Kevin kisses my neck, trying to lighten the mood.  I giggle softly as his fingers roam my body and begin to lift at my shirt. Suddenly his lips connect with the spot where Adam had my neck. I shriek in pain and jerk my body away.

"Heidi what was..." Kevin's voice trails off and he stares intently at the redness of my neck.  Cupping my face with his hands, Kevin rests his forehead on mine and closes his eyes.

"Who did that to you and why?" Kevin asks, cautiously.

"It...was nothing. I fell in the bathroom and that's when I blacked out. Don't stress it, just get some sleep," I murmur, my voice just getting past his ears. Kevin releases me with a sigh and wanders to his bed, gets comfortable and drifts off.  I slip off my dress and pull a t-shirt over my head, then I start for the kitchen.

"He probably saw Adam come out of the bathroom. To think I tried to hide it," I say to myself. I shuffle through the refrigerator in search of some type of food and something to drink.

"Hey Heidi, what are you doing up? Kevin is dead asleep," Evan chuckles, as he leans on the wall. I shut the fridge quickly and brush past him to the couch.

"You know, thinking too much. Kevin got upset and went to bed. I got hungry so I came out here for food."

"Kevin has been acting really weird since he finally woke up. I'm hoping he gets better so we can rehearse and get ready for Warped. Did he ever tell you?" Evan sits himself down and gets comfortable.

"No, he didn't get to because of some problems I've recently had. I hope he'll eventually fill me in on everything because I feel like he would've just left a note without anything else," I mutter. My eyes begin to burn from random tears.
