Chapter 5

Chapter 5-

-Heidi-

Alix walks in the room looking more excited and pumped as ever.

"Hey Kevin, the after party is about to start!" He shouts excitedly

"Sweet! Heidi, do you want to come with me?" Kevin asks ecstatically.

"Sure," I mumble with hesitance.

Kevin swiftly grasp my hand and we bolt down a hall and into a very large room full of people. I glance over and see Alister Dippner. I then run up to him and just gush.

"Alister! Hi my name is Heidi and I just want to say, that i love your work. It is just amazing and I just want to know, how do you do it and how much time does it take?"

"Hi, um Heidi. Its great to meet you and nice to know you're a fan of my work. But um, all I can say is that it takes a while to hand draw then paint," Alister mumbles awkwardly.

"Hey, Heidi, want to grab a couple drinks?"

"Okay," I smile slightly dazed from the beauty of this room. Kevin tugs at my arm until we come to a kitchen that was completely empty. Surprisingly the kitchen too was beautiful. The counters stretched from wall to wall, the tile floors were glazed perfectly, the walls were spotless, a tall stainless steel fridge sat against one wall, and a freezer along another wall.

Kevin goes into the fridge and grabs two ice cold beers.

"This your first time drinking?" Kevin smirks, most likely expecting me to say yes.

"No way. I got wasted the same night Adam kicked me out. I still had just enough money to buy some beers," I giggle.

"You know, alcohol only numbs the pain. It doesn't make it go away," Kevin mumbles.

"I know, I just needed to get my mind off of things. I mean they threatened to unplug the life support and I talked them out of it. I basically saved his ass and how does he repay me? He goes and fucks some other girl, then kicks me out," I sigh heavily as I scarf down the drink.

"Its okay, I'm sure you'll find someone who will love you, for you," Kevin assures.

"Yeah, but I already have, he just doesn't know it yet," I grin.

"Who? What's his name?

"Its nothing," I burp taking Kevin's beer from his hand.

After about seven or eight full bottles, I find myself completely drunk. Kevin slightly less gone, but still staggering around, swaying somewhat and unable to talk properly.

We stumble over and sit on a big rose red sofa. As we sit we begin to sink from the softness. The room starts to clear out because the party, after two and a half hours, comes to a close.

"Y-you know H-Heidi, I-I had a lot of f-fun with you tonight," Kevin stutters.

"I had fun with you too," I hiccup. Kevin creeps his had around my shoulder and I rest my head on his neck.

"We should do this again some time," Kevin mumbles into my head. I blush as Kevin turns my face to his.

"I promise that we will be friends forever," he murmurs.
