Chapter 10-
I stare into Kevin's soft eyes and he was giving me his full attention. I want to tell him but the I don't. I just feel so pressured right now.
I begin to open my mouth and speak, but as Kevin starts leaning in, the guys burst through the door, scaring the shit out of me.
"Were you guys about to make-out?" Alix laughs, my tension, decreasing.
"Hell no! what's wrong with you man?" Kevin chuckles, wrestling Alix. I jump like a little kitten as they fall behind me.
"So Heidi, you want to come record with us?" Manny asks punching my shoulder lightly. I smile playfully and punch him back.
"Is that a trick question? Of course I want to come! Who wouldn't?!" I giggle, fangirling in my boots.
"Okay, come on guys!" Evan blurts, pulling the boys off the bed. Kevin blushes with defeat and I smile softly, my cheeks burning just as much as his.

I sit outside the recording booth watching Kevin sing so...perfectly. He was so into it and dedicated. It was amazing. Every so often he would turn his head to me and smile, so it was good to know I still existed at the moment.
"He really enjoys your company," Evan mumbles from behind. I jump at his sudden presence.
"He does?" I ask, turning my body completely. Evan, showing only his top teeth, doesn't laugh, but lets out more air than usual.
"Yeah, when you left the other day, he started acting all depressed and isolated himself in his room. Today has actually been the first day hes been out and around. At first it was kind of funny. But then we started getting worried. I think he loves you, he just doesn't want to admit it to himself," Evan grins, nudging my arm. My cheeks warm at his words. The fact that Kevin might actually love me, it makes my heart want to stop.
"Come with me, I want to show you something," Evan whisper. I follow behind him mindlessly.
-
"Hey Alix," I mumble, waving slightly. Alix waves kindly, putting his pick in his mouth. Evan grabs his iPhone, puts in his code, and opens a video.
"This is how Kevin's been acting." I see a video of Kevin just staring out a window, probably thinking, just, so depressed and lonely. I feel so bad.
"Wow, you weren't lying," I murmur.
"Hey guys, what are you watching?" Kevin taps my shoulder and I jump once more.
"Stop doing that!" I laugh turning to him."
"Just finished the beginning of the song. Now I just want to hang with Heids," Kevin smiles, taking my hand. My face flourishes of red and I follow behind.
-
So me and Kev end up in a dim room, just sitting together and talking.
"Um...favorite...song?" Kevin smirks.
"Either... A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, or Massacre by you guys," I smile warmly.
"Why?" Kevin moves his silky brown hair from his face.
"Well, whenever I'm upset, I listen to Massacre because when listen to that song, I feel like its saying, don't give life its satisfaction. You remember that lyric right?" I explain.
"So basically, my voice keeps you from crying," Kevin laughs lightly with pride.
"Hated, something that we're brought up to be, now everybody's looking at me I hope the know that they won't get their satisfaction," I sing, rocking back and forth slightly.
"You have a beautiful voice," Kev compliments. My lips curl on my face and I hug my knees.
"Oh yeah! You never answered my question," Kevin smiles devilishly.
"Oh...that question. No, I have a question for you. And you have to answer honestly,"
"What is it? I'm sure I can answer,"
"Okay! Do you love me?"
