A.N- Okay, just so you guys know, I am very nervous to be posting this, only because I'm afraid you guys wont like it. This took a while to write because i have a really bad case of writer's block and it gives me BAD headaches, so...here you go.
Chapter 1-
~Heidi~
"You've taken control, of my heart and my soul," I sing, strumming the strings of my guitar.
This is my life every day. Being that I have no home, nor do I have a job. I guess you could say playing for tips is my job. I don't make a lot of money off of this, but its enough to buy little snacks and stuff. Right now I'm saving up to pay for a concert that I'm dying to go to. The band's name, Ghost Town. I've got a long way to go though, considering I only have like three dollars.
As I continue to play and come to the end of the song, people continue to ignore me and walk by.
"I give up! By the time I get enough fucking money to even buy a ticket Noise Tour will be over," I cry as the tears that were over flowing, pour out of my eyes.
I look to the fountain behind me. My face grows disgusted as I glare at my reflection.
"Look at me! I haven't been able to shower in weeks, my hair is disgusting and I smell like a dump! What am I going to do?" I murmur.
I begin to grow tired once more and let out a loud yawn. I peer at a woman walking by.
"Excuse me mam, do you have the time?" I ask.
"Sure, its 9:00 a.m," the woman smiles, dropping five dollars into my guitar case.
"Thank you so much." I wave as she walks down the street. I lightly place my guitar in its case then rest my head softly on it.
"I am hopeless," I yawn , slowly closing my eyes.
- 3 hours later-
I stretch and listen as my back cracked. I open my eyes to the sun at its highest point in the sky. Clouds rolling slowly against the light blue sky. Must be about noon.
I scope the area to see if the activity had picked up. Luckily, it did, a lot more people. I grab my guitar and begin to strum as I pick up a C minor.
"For so long now I've been coming to your rescue," I begin to sing.
"Hey! What song are you playing?" a boy asks.
Woah! This guy looks amazing! He had short brown hair swept to the side slightly with greenish-gray eyes. His lips, a perfect shade of pink and quite plush. He wore a plain red shirt and a blue and red plaid over shirt with the buttons undone, and some plain jeans and slightly worn black sneakers.
Damn, you are gorgeous!
"Hello?" he laughs lightly.
"Oh, sorry. The song is called 'You're so Creepy' by Ghost Town," I smile, losing myself staring at his perfect features.
"Ghost Town? My friend Alix and I are very fond of that band," the boy breathes. He then turns and calls his friend over.
"What's your name?" I finally ask.
"Kevin McCullough," Kevin answers. Kevin's friend runs up to us.
"Who's this?" Kevin's friend pants.
"Alix this is...I don't even know your name, I'm sorry," Kevin grins.
"Heidi Collins," I giggle.
"That's a beautiful name. Any way Alix this is Heidi, Heidi this is Alix," Kevin introduces. Alix shifts his glance to my guitar case.
"What are you saving up for?" Alix asks.
"I'm saving up to buy a ticket for a Ghost Town concert in a few days," I sigh," I, sadly, wont get the money in time though. I only have eight dollars and I need fifty to buy a ticket. Even then, if I do get enough money the concert may be sold out."
"I'm sorry," Kevin says sympathetically.
"Here, take this. Its a gift from me." Kevin reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a tiny black wallet, only to pull out something else and drop it in my guitar case. A slight show of his top teeth breaks through his plush lips. I shiver as I feel the blood boil up in my cheek causing a blush. I glimpse to my guitar case, then back to Kevin and Alix, but they had disappeared.
I turn to the case and realize that there's a paper clip on the money Kevin dropped in. I take it into my hands and pull off the paper clip. Bunches of dollar bills fall from the bundle. As I get on my knees and collect the money, I notice a smaller piece of paper. I set the money a side and pick it up and turn it over to find that Kevin did not only leave me a good amount of money, but he also left...... a ticket to the concert!
