Chapter 6

Chapter 6-

I pull away from Kevin's neck then stare into his eyes with wonder.

 Is he serious about...our friendship?

"I'm sorry. I just...um-" Kevin places his finger on my lips hushing me and breathes," what are you sorry for? Let's go back to the apartment. You can sleep there tonight."

   My lips curl up softly as Kevin stands giving me his hand to help me to my feet. I blush standing slowly. My arm then snakes around his neck and Kevin's hand rest on my hip to support one another. Together we stagger out of the building.

 Once outside we come across Alix, Evan, and Manny. They don't talk to me. Instead they whisper and laugh to Kevin.

"Who's this?" Evan finally chuckles out loud. Kevin glances at me with flush cheeks,"just a friend" 

Oh, I wish I was more than just "a friend" 

I sigh heavily as we all climb onto the bus and take off down the street.

 Arriving at the apartment, everyone staggers into there rooms. Everyone but me and Alix.

"So are you...staying here tonight?" Alix asks as he looks back towards the rooms.

"I-I guess s-so," I stutter attempting to smile. Alix chuckles lightly, listening to my voice as it bounced off the walls of the room.

 After a brief moment of laughter Alix walks back into one of the rooms, leaving me alone in the living room. I shiver at the touch of the heat as I take off my jacket.

 It was dark. The only light in the room was lunar. It was quiet and mostly empty. A sofa, a coffee table, a chair, and a tv. But along the wall above the sofa, were many pictures from drawings to print outs.

"Those? Yeah it took a while to put those up. I almost died putting up the ones at the top," Alix walks up to me, handing me a pair of folded black sweats.

"So you don't have to wear those jeans," Alix grins warmly. I roll my eyes and my cheeks burn,"so where am I going to sleep?"

 Alix walks past me, brushing his shoulder against mine. He then pulls a bed out of the couch.

A futon!

"You can sleep here. I'll go get you some sheets and a blanket," Alix murmurs walking back towards the rooms once more. I mumble something to myself, kick off my shoes, change into the sweats, and fall on the bed.

"Here's your- oh!" Alix covers me with a cozy blanket and slips a pillow under my head, lays next to me, and whispers,"you are the luckiest fan in the world." I smirk and drift into a deep sleep.

My eyes crack open. Burning and bloodshot. The sun rays slip through the curtains and kiss my face telling me its morning. I most likely have a hangover coming. I rub my eyes as a headache grows in my left temple.

"Ugh. Its going to be a long day," I grumble, rolling onto my back. I then turn my head, to notice that Alix was gone, but Kevin had taken his place.

 I giggle quietly and watch as his back rise and fall whilst he slept. He didn't snore, but his breathing wasn't quiet and steady. Maybe a nightmare?

"Kevin? Kevin wake up, you're having a nightmare. Wake up." I shake his arm gently trying to wake him. Kevin still sleeps and his breathing continues to pick up speed.

"Kevin, come on, wake up," I mumble, shaking his arm slightly harder.

Finally, his eyes snap open. Kevin looks around until his eyes meet mine. We just stare at each other for a minute. No movements. No words. Just silence.

"You slept well?" I snicker.

"Ha ha. Very funny," Kevin growls, sinking his face into his pillow.

"You have a headache too?" I continue to joke and play with Kevin as he grumbles.

"Don't you have someone to see, princess," Kevin turns his head to me angrily.

"Oh shit you're right! Seth is going to be upset with me!" I jump to my feet, and rummage through my purse to find the phone Seth gave me. Grabbing the phone I fumble trying to dial his number and pick up my stuff again.

"Hello, Seth?" I breathe, clearing my throat.

"I'm on my way," Seth's voice was stern and serious. I hang up the phone, slightly frightened.

"Seth's on his way," I gulp. Kevin rolls off the bed and walks into the kitchen. Looking out the window, he begins to grin and the grin slides into a smile,"he's already here." Panic takes my entire body. I recollect myself and bolt out the door without even saying goodbye.

-Seth's room-

"Heidi what the fuck where you doing at his house? How the fuck could you just leave me outside where its freezing while your inside warm, and partying? Heidi, do you still love me?" Seth cries, pacing back and forth.

"Seth, I do still love you and I'm sorry. I was drinking and honestly I don't remember any of last night." I sit on the bed and nod my head reassuringly. Seth plops next to me and leans into my lips. Our kiss wasn't as I'd hoped though. It was rough and uneasy. Seth pulls away,"why do you smell like sweat...you had sex with Kevin didn't you?!"

"No, I went to a concert last night! I'm going to smell like sweat!" I shout pushing Seth away. and crossing my arms over my chest.

"You know, Seth. This relationship is never going to work if you can't trust me to go to a concert, have fun at a party, or even stay at a friend's house," I sigh, pressing my hands into the bed.

"I'm sorry love. Please don't ever leave. You know I love you and I trust you with my life. I just thought you didn't love me because you kicked me out to tell Kevin a secret," Seth mumbles into my hair, rubbing my shoulders.

"Wait, this all started over a secret!?! Are you kidding me! Seth, get off of me," I recoil my shoulders and stand on my feet.

"Seth, this is low! You're basically saying we wouldn't be having this conversation if I hadn't kicked you out!! All of this over a secret, a secret!" I laugh.

"I'm sorry Heidi. Please, how can I make it up?" Seth pleads. I smile devilishly and turn my head to Seth.
