Chapter 2

Chapter 2-

-Kevin- 

I look back to Heidi and watch as she kisses and dances with the ticket in her hands.

"That was nice of you, helping that poor girl." Alix smiles, staring ahead but lightly bumping my shoulder.

"Yeah, I just feel bad because she's homeless...but she's willing to set that aside to see us at a concert. In my eyes she is a true  Ghost," I mumble ans I suddenly become curious about this homeless but interesting young girl.

Wow, Heidi seems like a nice girl, but why is she willing to completely ignore the fact that she has no home or job, to come see our concert? How did she become homeless? Where does she sleep? How does she eat? Will she find a way to get to the concert? Will she be okay from here on out? Where's the rest of her family? What if she get's hurt?

Questions cloud my head, but where are they coming from? I just met this girl. My body grows uneasy and my stress level rises slightly.

She should be fine, I'm sure

"Kevin, are you okay?" Alix asks.

"N-no," I stutter. 

"You don't look to good. Get some sleep tonight, okay? But now we have to go record," Alix pats my back softly.

-That night-

Okay so its been a long day. I can't help but think about Heidi, but I don't love her. I know nothing about her. Its just something and I can't I can't place my finger on it.

I grunt as an abrupt knocking on the door pulls me back into reality. I roll onto my face and shout,"come in." 

"Hey Kevin, how are you feeling?"

"Meh, could be better. My mind is still spinning and shit but I'll get past it," I roll onto my back once more.

"Okay? Well I got a call today and you're going to love what they told me."

"What'd they say?" I ask resting my hand on my eyes.

"They said a bunch of boring shit and then they finally said that we are going to play at Warped Tour in the UK!" Alix shouts.

"No fucking way!" I yell.

"Yeah, I-" Alix stops.

"Alix?" I look towards the door, Alix was gone.

As I lightly pull the cord on the lamp I sigh in hopes of seeing Heidi again.

-Heidi-

"Thanks for talking your mom into letting me stay Seth," I mutter.

"My pleasure beautiful," Seth flirts.

I roll my eyes and turn over. Seth wraps his arm around my hip and pulls me close. Seth then slides his hand up my side and stops at the bottom of my breast.

 The room grows quiet. Moonlight pours into the room and consumes the darkness. The singing of the crickets and the howling of owls takes over the silence. The air becomes moist and my breathing continues to stay calm.

"Kevin, I don't understand right now, but I think I...no...no. I'm done man handling. My past is too painful. Plus I'm a-a street rat, a hobo, a freak," I murmur to myself. My eyes fall closed and my thoughts soon become a dream.
