Chapter 7- His other side

[Next morning, Jeon Law Firm]

I woke up with a terrible headache. Looking around, I realized I was in my room, but how did I end up here? As far as I remember, I was out with Jimin and Taehyung and we were drinking. I walked out to find Jimin and Taehyung already sitting in front of my desk. Feeling someone's presence, they looked towards the door to find me having a hangover.

"You awake? Good morning" Jimin greeted and I nodded, my eyes were still half open. On one hand where Jimin was cheerful, Taehyung didn't even look at me. What did I even expect!?

"How did I get here?" I questioned as I took a sip of water in the bottle near me

"I brought you home last night" Taehyung said making me choke. I coughed and looked at him with wide eyes, while he was still looking at his phone

"Yes, he brought you home last night on his back. You were wasted" Jungkook popped out of nowhere and spoke. Did he just say on his back? He carried me home? Is that even possible? 

"You were continuously taking about...." Jungkook hesitated making my heart beat faster every second. Did I do something which I shouldn't have done?

"about what!?" I almost yelled

"Taking about his abs and cold attitude which you find sexy!" Jungkook yelled back at me making my eyes go wide. Wait, WHAT!? I DID WHAT!?! Jimin started giggling along with Jungkook while I tried to avoid eye contact and looked down because of embarrassment. I just wanted to run away as far as possible. 

"By the way, this is the first time, Taehyung took care of someone, isn't it?" Jimin playfully teased Taehyung

"Yah! I did that because.... if I left her, we would have to find another lawyer!" he got a point though. Not wanting to argue more, I walked out to get myself some hangover soup.

[Time skip: an hour later]

"So, I asked a few of my people to make the list related to the drugs released in the market in the last two weeks and we found something unexpected" Jimin spoke

"And what's that?" I asked

"WDN" 

"You mean, the recent medicine released by Han Group!" I almost yelled

"Yes, at first we thought it was a normal medicine but when we tested it, it turned out dangerous with the same symptoms. And, it's the same drug which we found in the victims body" Jimin spoke making our eyes go wide

"I knew it! I knew it! I company can never be this good!" Jungkook exclaimed

"But why would they use it on people? Moreover, why would they release such a thing? Were they not aware about the symptoms?" I questioned

"That's not possible. As much as I know, before releasing any medicine in the market, they have to sent a sample of it to the higher officials for verification and after it's marked completely safe, it is released in the market" Jimin replied

"But even if it was sent to the higher officials, why would they allow it?"

"Only if someone has feed you with money" Taehyung spoke

[Time skip: Han group]

Kang Dong-soo, the chief researcher of WDN project, was sitting in front of Han Ji-hun in his office, to discuss something related to the release of WDN

"Mr. Han, I've warned you. If something goes wrong, my name shouldn't be involved. I warned you that WDN contains harmful substances to kill anyone within minutes" Mr. Kang spoke

"Mr. Kang, don't you remember how much money we gave you? Or do you need more?" Ji-hun said as he forwarded the bundle of money towards him but this time, he stopped it making Ji-hun look at him with a smirk

"Do you want me to molest your daughter again or you'll keep this money and if something goes wrong, you'll take the blame on yourself and go to the prison for me?" Ji-hun spoke. Mr. Kang maybe a tough man to convince, but even the most strongest man can give up anything to protect his family. He slowly took the money and kept it in his pocket

"You'll pay for this one day" he replied gritting his teeth and left. 

[Time skip: two days later, midnight, Mr. Kang's house]

"I searched up and the chief researcher for WDN project is Kang Dong-soo. Our men have been keeping an eye on him. He comes back home by 8pm and he visits Han Group a lot. I think 12 pm will be the ideal time to break into his house" 

The night was extra quiet today. Only the sound of the cold breeze and failing leaves could be heard which created an eerie atmosphere rather than a calm one. Knocking out the guards at the gate, 2 mysterious people broke into Mr. Kang's house. Climbing the wall which was connected to Mr. Kang's bedroom, they quietly climbed and entered his bedroom only to find him sleeping peacefully. Mr. Kang had sent his wife and daughter somewhere away so it was just him in his house which made it easy. 

Mr. Kang woke up as he felt a sharp sting of pain near his pain. Opening his eyes, he found himself surrounded with 2 mysterious people one of them holding a knife near his neck. He gulped seeing them

"Those victims, those people who died has some connection to Han group right?" The one holding the knife asked making Mr. Kang look at him with fear

"Tell me or else...." he threatened as he deepened the cut on his neck making him yelp in pain

"Yes, they do" Mr. Kang replied

"Great. Take your phone and I want you to record a video of yourself confessing everything and give it to me. If you make anything go wrong, I swear, it won't be good for your family" he spoke as Mr. Kang looked at him with wide eyes. Handing him the phone, Mr. Kang started to record a video himself while those men stood there so that he doesn't make any mistake. 

After recording the video, those men viewed it to recheck it while Mr. Kang gathered some courage to ask who were these mysterious men and why do they want it?

"Who are you-u? And why are you doing-g this?" hearing his voice and of them walked to him, leaning closer, he removed his masks, and there he was, Mr. Kim  Taehyung!

"I'm V, mafia from Italy!" he spoke making Mr. Kang's eyes go wide

"The people you killed, one of them was my sister. Why am I telling you this? Because I'm going to kill you. I don't care if you did it while being threatened or on your will but all I know is... you also have a part in my sister's death and I'm going to give each of you the most painful death starting from today, mark my words!" Completing his sentence, he took out the gun from his pocket and pointed it at Mr. Kang's head

"Please-e, let me-e go-o" Mr. Kang started begging

"That sentence doesn't work for me" Taehyung spoke and shot him. His lifeless body fell on the floor and other security guards rushed towards his room after hearing the sound of gun shot. 

"let's go Jimin, before we get caught" and they climbed out from the window and successfully escaped along with Mr. Kang's confessing video. 

"It all starts from today!"
